I’m so proud of these Detroit students standing up and demanding justice for Nolen Wells. I fully support the calls for a prompt and exhaustive federal investigation. Nolen’s life matters and his family deserves answers.

Al Jazeera English @AJEnglishUS Secretary of Health Robert F Kennedy Jr. has said that Arabs don’t produce science or literature, or win Nobel prizes. RFK Jr.’s remarks, which were made during a Republican rally, have been widely condemned as factually incorrect and racially biased.

National Homelessness Law Center @homeless_lawMultiple murders and violent attacks against unhoused people have been reported in Michigan and Connecticut. These assaults come as our federal government intensifies its attacks on homeless people, both with words and with policies. Our full statement:

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib @RepRashidaI am outraged and heartbroken. Precious one-year-old Kohen Wiley was murdered by police. I am holding the family and community in my prayers, and I stand with those demanding justice and accountability. The police violence terrorizing our communities must end.
Mahmoud Khalil | محمود خليل @mahmoudkhalelToday, I asked the Supreme Court to affirm that federal courts have the power to hear my case. The government knows all too well that its baseless allegations and smears against me cannot survive the slightest scrutiny in federal court. That’s why it is doing everything it can to keep those courts from looking at my case and to channel it into its kangaroo immigration courts. So the question is simple: can the government weaponize immigration laws to punish someone's speech, then tell federal courts they have no power to step in? If the answer is yes, none of our speech is safe. If the Trump administration can punish someone for pro-Palestine speech, this or any future administration can punish anyone for any speech.
