EigenCloudRT @jt_rose: you can keep your datacenter, we're building our own @darkbloomaimorgan — @morqonsam: local inference is a terrible allocation of scarce resources “a lot of people want local inference, and somehow they assume that the problem is solved now because we have open-source models, we're going to be able to run them on our computers, and so we're not going to need all the stuff in the data centre but from a global allocation perspective, actually it's quite terrible to have everybody, like, have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used five percent of the time you want maximum utilisation in the cloud if you're trying to deal with this very supply-constrained environment somehow many people's intuition is the opposite of that”0301.5K

EigenCloudRT @yukonresearch: How big does a quantum computer need to be to break Bitcoin? Nobody knows exactly. built with Professor Runzhou Tao and VerifiedQC at the University of Maryland, is how we find out, with every answer backed by a machine-checked proof. Two tracks. Open now. EigenCloudRT @jt_rose: Crypto's next big role: letting everyday people own a piece of the AI economy, not just use it. That was the thread running through my AMA with @fireant_korea and his Korean community 🇰🇷 • Open Compute: @darkbloomai is the Airbnb of compute. Connecting machines that people already own to volume from OpenRouter. A new distributed compute network serving cheap, private, local inference. • Open Research: @yukonresearch runs multiplayer autoresearch, where people and AI agents build on each other's verified improvements. Currently quantum-proofing cryptography and optimizing models like @googlegemma @Alibaba_Qwen and @PrismML on Apple Silicon These are two powerful new markets that coordinate compute and intelligence, built from hard earned learnings (and shortcomings) building EigenLayer. EigenCloudRT @eigenlabs: Eigen Labs is featured in the 2026 ZK Industry Report from @zeroknowledgefm. Our challenge in collaboration with @SuccinctLabs, @ethereumfndn and @EspressoSys on @YukonResearch is part of a new wave of ZK autoresearch. Experts work alongside AI agents in the open to compress the proving-engineering cycle, and every result is open source for the next solver to build on. Download the 2026 ZK Industry Report below 👇Succinct @SuccinctLabsIntroducing the definitive guide to ZK in 2026. The year’s biggest questions pointed to ZK: Can we trust AI? EigenCloudRT @jt_rose: "People felt they’d discovered something deeply aligned with their individual ability to contribute" I feel this in the organized entropy of @yukonresearch which sort of sits between Marc's argument and @cdixon's vision of networks where people and intelligent agents build together. Academics, scientists and researchers who "know what to do" are organizing themselves and their agents around intractable problems. The communities around these challenges are turning into self-driving research companies. Now imagine connecting these networks to capital and ownership: funding work to produce useful software/IP in the open, using visible progress to attract more funders and contributors with clear agreements on how to share in what's built together. EigenCloudRT @soubhikdeb: A lot of awesome progress has been made in last one week on an array of frontier scientific problems @yukonresearch, ranging from quantum computing to cryptography to biology. I want to use this thread to summarize the progress. This is meant to highlight how an internet-native team of Al agent developers, science enthusiasts and domain experts can collaborate in a multiplayer setting to make use of Al positively to expand humanity's scientific understanding. 1/n0803.5K

EigenCloudRT @yukonresearch: 31.9% faster on DGX Spark and 13.8% faster on Mac. Pick your machine: → Mac: → DGX Spark:Kydo @0xkydo🚨 NEW ON AND make NVIDIA's Nemotron 3.5 Lightning faster. Lightning is an open-weight model that fits in ~20GB, which makes it a great base model for running AI locally on a single machine. @nvidia built it as a fast general model meant to be post-trained -- so any speedup to the base carries over to every specialized model built on top of it. On day 1, solvers on @YukonResearch already got it running 31.9% faster on DGX Spark and 13.8% faster on Mac. You can work on its Mamba-2, mixture-of-experts and attention layers, plus a multi-token prediction head built for speculative decoding. NVIDIA also released the training data and recipes, so people post-train Lightning for their own tasks. Most of those fine-tunes keep their architecture, which means a speedup here makes them faster too. EigenCloudRT @0xkydo: 🏁 FINAL RESULTS: Bonsai 2 9B now runs 471% faster on Macs and 421.5% faster on NVIDIA DGX Spark. Open frontier research and open-weight models win again. One open challenge, one week with the community and it runs 6x faster on hardware people already own. It is crazy to see that the decode speed went from 144.8 to 959.6 tokens/sec on Apple Silicon and from 85.9 to 576.7 on DGX Spark. This model can also run on an iPhone. I'm very excited to see what people build with it and how it introduces MLX and local AI to new faces. Bonsai 2 9B has been live on @DarkbloomAI since day one, so anyone can try it right now. 158 new records built on top of each other from humans and agents running Claude Opus 5.5, GPT-6.1 Sol, GPT-6 Astra, Gemini 4 Argon, DeepSeek-V4 and Qwen3.8-Flash-Next. Congrats to Kaankolcu took the top spot on Mac, and dadon took it on NVIDIA. Thank you to the @PrismML team for doing this in the open with us, @BabakHassibi, @HessianFree, @SahinLale and the rest of the PrismML team.01603.9K
EigenCloudRT @yukonresearch: A new SHA-256 attack got 90 times cheaper within days of Dariia (@FutureDies) posting it on HashSmash. Every submission on the board is open, so five other solvers started from her result instead of from scratch. It’s also the first HashSmash result built on a new technique rather than tuning an old one. boards for SHA-256, SHA-3, BLAKE3 and Poseidon are open to anyone.Shielded Labs @ShieldedLabsHashSmash Breakthrough For the first time, a 39-round version of SHA-256 has been attacked faster than brute force. Dariia Porechna (@FutureDies) found a new collision attack, a way to find two different inputs that produce the same hash. It works on SHA-256 cut down to 39 of its 64 rounds, and it’s about a billion times cheaper than the best previous attack. Within days, other HashSmash solvers including sraiw made it about 90 times cheaper again. Full SHA-256, which secures Bitcoin, is still safe. Even the improved attack is out of reach for every computer on Earth combined. Congrats to Dariia and the other HashSmash participants who pushed the result even further: @cyberaxe, @privacymage, @lamb356_, and @geeknik. The attack builds on the method from ePrint 2026/1120 (Li, Zhang, Li, Liu, Qian & Zhu).0803.6K

The attack rests on the same method as prior art ePrint 2026/1120 with new insights that first 2 state words could remain free, allowing a critical condition at step 16 rebuilt as a claw-search problem rather than a probabilistic filter. Took days of watching SAT logs, burning cores and arguing with Claude on what's possible to get a result close to generic search. Since my initial submission, other hashsmash participants sraiw, @cyberaxe, @privacymage, @lamb356_ and @geeknik pushed it down by over 6.5 bits, currently estimated at 118.15 bits. The tree of submissions is hard to follow, so I put the construction, insights and numbers into a blog and am working on detailed technical report. It's fascinating to see an initial structural observation develop into an improvement in the reduced-round collision frontier within days. AI is now a real aid in cryptanalysis and open collaboration speeds it up.121787.1K

Open intelligence needs an open AI economy. The next chapter of Eigen is one people can build on and earn from. - @DarkbloomAI puts idle Macs to work serving paid inference. - @YukonResearch brings humans and agents together to advance frontier research. Our ambition is useful products, with contributors who earn from them and fees that drive value back to $EIGEN. Great to see @BlockworksAdv connect the dots in its latest report on inference.Blockworks Advisory @BlockworksAdv2129419K
Our Chief Growth Officer @jt_rose lays out the clearest case yet for where EIGEN sits in the AI economy. - Darkbloom turns Macs people already own into paid inference capacity. - Yukon turns open research into improvements contributors share in. EIGEN is the onchain layer connecting both, so everyday people can take part in the AI economy alongside the hyperscalers.JT Rose @jt_roseCrypto's next big role: letting everyday people own a piece of the AI economy, not just use it.14538K
