Hoisting is an extremely common topic for JS interviews. Variables declared using 'var' are hoisted to the top of the function scope. The code below does not throw error coz the interpreter pulls all var decl. to the top. [#javascript #interview questions. Day 6.] See Thread👇

To add, Hoisting does not apply to let decl. While parsing, the engine is aware of let decl. that appear later in the block but they can't be referenced b4 the actual decl. So, the ReferenceError. The segment of exec that occurs b4 the decl. is called Temporal Dead Zone(TDZ).

Fun fact: As any flag is hoisted to the top of a pole, in JS var declarations are hoisted to the top of its scope. Hence the name, hoisting. #javascriptinterviews #hoisting #TDZ #codingisfun
