The #wxPython GUI framework includes widgets that let you create cross-platform video players. The following examples uses a hard-coded path to an MP4 file, but with a little work, you can add a menu and some buttons to control the application! 🐍🔥

#wxPython supports absolute positioning of its widgets (i.e. specifying exact locations in pixels) as well as using relative positioning using Sizers. Sizers are the preferred method and it's much more flexible. Here's an example using three buttons in a `wx.BoxSizer`
