@AAStack: 🟠 Daily Bitcoin Report October 29, 2026
📊 PRICE ACTION
Oct 29 close: ~$77,780 | Now (01:00 UTC Oct 30): ~$77,073 | Session low: $76,600
Three things hit in 36 hours. The Fed's hold got read hawkishly, PCE came in accelerating, and then at 20:24 UTC a reported drain of a Binance hot wallet turned a slow bleed into a flush. BTC went from $80,327 at 20:15 to $78,763 by 21:00, and has since worked down to $76,600.
📈 TECHNICAL READ
Trend Exhaustion: 24.82, collapsed from 41.41. This is the reload zone. It read 1.82 on Aug 16, 16 on Sep 15, and 22 on Oct 13. Two of those three produced 27.6% and 16.7% runs.
Price is trading below the lower Bollinger band at $77,989. That's a stretched condition, not a sustainable one, the band is two standard deviations out.
Support: $76,600, then $74,041 (trader realized price), then $73,028 (200-day). Resistance: $77,989 (lower band), then $80,200, then $81,301 (the 20-day).
🔍 ON-CHAIN
→ $289M of bitcoin positions were liquidated, more than 82% of them longs. Roughly $1B across the market in 24 hours, with $532M of it inside a single hour. That's a leverage flush, and flushes clear the deck.
→ Price has broken True Market Mean near $77,600, the first structural level to go since this correction started.
→ The levels below are far deeper and far older: trader realized price at $74,041 and the 200-day at $73,028, per CryptoQuant.
→ Context worth keeping: coins have been leaving exchanges all week, including 14,942 BTC on Tuesday.
📰 TODAY'S NEWS
1/ The Binance incident is unconfirmed and it's the proximate cause. On-chain watchers tracked roughly $2.8B leaving Binance-labeled wallets on Ethereum, with estimates up to $3.55B across six chains, and flagged a Tornado Cash-linked funding address. Binance has only said it is "aware of reports of a potential security issue" and is investigating. CZ wrote that user funds are safe and that it "does look like a hack."
2/ Stablecoin issuers moved fast. Tether froze about $1.567B and Circle about $823M roughly $2.39B of the total already immobilized.
3/ September PCE was in line but accelerating. Headline 3.6% annually (forecast 3.6%, up from 3.4%), +0.5% monthly. Core 3.1% (forecast 3.1%, up from 3.0%), +0.3% monthly.
4/ Q3 GDP came in at 3.4% annualized, up from 2.2%. Strong growth plus rising core inflation is the combination that makes a December hike easier to justify.
5/ 135,545 bitcoin options settle at 08:00 UTC roughly seven hours from now.
⚖️ WHERE WE STAND
Be clear about what this is: an exchange incident, not a bitcoin problem. Nothing about the network, the supply schedule, or the long-term holder base changed tonight. What changed is that a leveraged market got a scare at the worst possible hour and $289M of longs were force-closed into it. Three things are now true at once. Momentum has reset to 24.82, back in the exact zone that preceded the two biggest runs of this cycle. Price is below the lower band, which is a stretched reading that tends to mean-revert. And the options expiry that's been pinning this market clears in hours. The counterweights are real and I won't paper over them, the Binance situation is unresolved and could still get worse, PCE and GDP both argue for a December hike, and True Market Mean has broken, which puts $74,041 on the map. But forced liquidation into an exchange rumor is how capitulation lows get made, not how trends begin. The first thing to watch is simply whether price reclaims $77,989 and closes back inside the band.
