Productive conversation with Prime Minister Mark Carney today. We are aligned on the need to supercharge our economy, attract investment, and create good-paying jobs. British Columbia has an enormous role to play in driving Canada's economic future, and we are ready to lead. When British Columbia succeeds, Canada succeeds. READOUT: PREMIER-ELECT LORNE DOERKSON'S CALL WITH PRIME MINISTER MARK CARNEY October 27, 2026 Earlier today, the Prime Minister of Canada and the Premier designate of British Columbia had a virtual meeting setting out a plan for cooperation in support of BC and Canadian growth. In the conversation, there was agreement to work together to increase growth and economic opportunities for BC and Canada. On LNG and natural gas, there was a joint desire to ensure the right investable and competitive conditions are created to maximize private sector investment. On investment strategy, there was alignment to work together to attract capital to BC. Overall, the Prime Minister and Premier Designate indicated their joint desire for a strong partnership inclusive of all British Columbians that can supercharge hope and opportunities for the province. The Premier Designate offered his commitment to work together on various challenges including managing trade risks and opportunities to ensure prosperity for the country from coast, to coast to coast. There was also alignment on the need for progressing improved infrastructure and services in BC and to work these issues further through the transition and establishment of BC’s new government.

BC was built by trailblazers with nothing but a dream and the determination to make it real. That spirit is still here. It deserves a government that has its back.

Thank you, British Columbia. Tonight, you voted for change. You voted for a government that will listen, keep life affordable, and never take your hard-earned money for granted. I want to thank every volunteer who knocked on doors, made calls, and put up signs in the rain. I want to thank our candidates, who stepped forward in a snap election with no time to spare. And I want to thank my wife Shelley and my family for standing beside me every step of the way. To those who didn’t vote for us: I will work just as hard for you. This is your government too. The work starts now. Let’s get to it.

Today in Cloverdale, I stopped by A&K Diesel Truck and Trailer Repair, where owner Kuldeep Singh Bains has built a thriving business that keeps Surrey’s trucks running and its families working. Stories like Kuldeep’s are what makes BC strong. The truckers I met today want a change, and are tired of an NDP government that makes their lives harder. That’s why a Conservative government won't increase taxes and will cut the red tape that’s slowing them down. BC needs strong leadership that stands with the people who keep our province moving. On October 24th, vote Conservative.

Thank you, Surrey! 2,500 of you packed the room tonight, and the energy was incredible. I’m so grateful to every single person who came out. Looking at that crowd, I saw the people who keep British Columbia going. Hard workers. Builders. Families who’ve given so much to this province and deserve a government that finally works just as hard for them. Surrey is ready for change and strong leadership. On October 24th, vote Conservative.

Good food, great people, and my first shot at making naan! Huge thanks to the team at Spice 72 in Surrey for welcoming me into the kitchen and showing me how it’s done. Small businesses like Spice 72 are the heart of Surrey. They create jobs, feed families and bring this community together, but too often they’re buried in red tape and rising costs. A Conservative government will cut the red tape and support small businesses so they can do what they do best. These are serious times, and they call for strong leadership. On October 24th, vote Conservative.

Surrey has waited long enough for the Cloverdale hospital. We will get it built. We will fully fund healthcare, keep emergency rooms open, and make sure British Columbians can count on care close to home.

RT @Conservative_BC: David Eby claims he supports LNG jobs. Just two days ago, one of his senior cabinet ministers just got caught saying the exact opposite. Will Eby dump his anti-jobs minister?

Surrey is an economic powerhouse, and it deserves a government that treats it like one. Today I unveiled our Surrey Success Plan: a new Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Surrey, SkyTrain to Newton Town Centre, and a 10-lane Massey Bridge that cuts commutes by up to 30 minutes.

Pleased to see that Vancouver voters have overwhelmingly rejected David Eby's failed experiments which resulted in so much crime and social disorder. We're ready to deliver for Vancouverites and all British Columbians, make our streets safe, and fix what David Eby broke.
