BIG NEWS: as of today, The Open Book officially supports #CircuitPython! It's up on the website and everything. Shout out to @tannewt and @brentrubell for displayio guidance, and ofc @adafruit and the whole @CircuitPython team for all their amazing work!
My @seeedstudio xiao rp2040 insect bot is now happily crawling along my (messy) kitchen floor. I’m working on improving the 3D printed body to work as a platform to mount other accessories too. Running in #circuitpython.
Had so much fun building this game. Got the idea from an @adafruit tutorial. But a lot of the DotStar functions in the tutorial where outdated, so I had to build most of it myself.

I feel watched 👀
Now with twice the googly eye action!
Written in #circuitpython the code should work on other display types as well.
Next step to mount these somewhere…
meanwhile in the department of capacitive touch research: this worked WAY better than anticipated. A touch matrix surface with #CircuitPython touchio. All open source, no proprietary libraries, and simple! Just copper pads and a resistor per row & column.
