From a quiet kid teaching workshops to standing on a huge tech stage 🎤✨, this is my journey, driven by curiosity, courage, and a love for helping kids discover the joy of technology. 👧💻🦒 Check out the full cinematic short on YouTube 👉 🎬🐶

Today at @aiDotEngineer NYC Kids Day, I taught kids to build games with @OpenAI Codex! 🎮 From basketball to skiing to Bluey-inspired games, some kids even demoed games on the big screen. Seeing them excited to keep building at home is why I teach. Thanks @liamcbride & @swyx! ✨

The AI Engineer Kids Day event was featured in the @aiDotEngineer World's Fair newspaper! 📰 The kids were possibly more proficient with AI than us. ✨🧑‍💻

Dad brought home the @aiDotEngineer Speaker Dinner gift. ChatGPT was great at making Godot games for AI Engineer Kids Day, so I used it on the puzzle. GPT-5.5 thought 6m18s: “2x3 rectangle.” ⬛⬛⬛ ⬛⬛⬛ Mom stared 1 min: “make a cube.” Use AI for coding, not thinking 🤣

Amazing AI Engineer Kids Day! 🚀 Kids learned Machine Learning, Claude Code & Codex, then built games like corn mazes 🌽 and banana simulators 🍌 in just a few hours. So inspiring to see their creativity unlocked with AI. 🧑‍💻🌈 Thanks @aiDotEngineer, @Neo4j & @catsandtech! 🙌

Great to be back at #JJUGCCC ☕🇯🇵 @steveonjava and I spoke about AI First Programming and rethinking CS education through our AI First book series with @Apress. 📊 I also shared US data on CS grads struggling after ChatGPT, while Japan’s hiring picture seems very different.

📊 Since ChatGPT’s late-2022 launch, US CS grads have faced tougher job placement. Japan seems different with high employment rates, but students often apply to companies, not roles, and may be assigned wherever the company needs (even outside their degree field 😢).

I peeked in on Daniel Oh's talk and the room was packed full beyond belief! This might be a result of mentioning him as a great speaker in the keynote yesterday. 😂

Keynoted at #GIDS India with @steveonjava amazing, engaged dev community 🇮🇳. Great feedback on our AI-first “prompt, learn, grow” approach. Thanks @MichaelCarducci for the fantastic photos!

I 3D printed some @java Duke bag pins. Come find me at the JCP party tonight!

Honored to give the closing keynote at #Jfokus 🎪✨ Talked about AI-First Learning, using AI as a tool to learn. Shared the stage with @brjavaman 🦜, thanked my inspirations (@Logico_jp, @JMHReif, @cayhorstmann, @mariofusco ☕️📕), and co-spoke with my dad @steveonjava

RT @Logico_jp: まさかKeynoteで紹介されるとは思わんかった…

RT @Logico_jp: Ending keynote of @Jfokus by @steveonjava and @cassandraonjava.

My @Devoxx interviews with @Stephan007 who talked about his conference AI transcription and the @Devoxx4Kids organizers including @danieldeluca who has been running it from the beginning and @EddyVos_EVCS and @KoTurk77 from the Netherlands chapter. 👧💻🚀

A huge thanks to @LaurenOE for producing the cinematic short! She has watched me grow up and been a huge inspiration for me. 🥰

It was great speaking at Open Source Summit Japan! At first I wasn't sure how my first lightning talk would go, but actually it had more impact than a regular session. Many people reached out to me with compliments. I hope I inspired parents to try fun technology with their kids.

My Raising Young Coders #Devoxx Belgium keynote video got posted. I hope you like it! 🎤👾✨

Giving the opening keynote at #Devoxx Belgium was a huge honor and the largest audience I have spoken. 🎤It was amazing to come to the conference that started @Devoxx4Kids and to stand on stage with @Stephan007 and talk about how parents can raise young coders.👾👩‍💻

Just received my Java Champion jacket, now I am official! Mochi approves of it as well 🐱 Thank you @Oracle for sending me this.
