My final prediction for tomorrow 50/50 chance on the house 80/20 gop keeps senate. Same prediction I made months ago. Nothing has changed and the only question left is turnout and how much frontloading did the dems do. If the dems frontloaded their votes to a major degree there could be major surprises.
I see nothing that suggests the typical gop midterm voter wont show up (that includes the gop who pretend to be independent). I think 52 is the bottom for the gop with some upside possible depending on the answer to the above 2 questions.
I don't think orange man bad has the play it did in 2018, so I expect less gains for the dems than in 2018.
The gop hasn't really fired up their voters and I dont know how much impact the doomers and panicans have had over the last 2 years suppressing the low propensity gop voters. My guess is not very much has special elections have shown s9 far.
I think Trump's rallies helped motivate some of those voters.
However, anyone paying attention will be out voting, I'm just not sure most are paying attention.
Either way, I know that regardless of what happens tomorrow Trump will still be president and for the next 2 years he will do everything in his power to Make America Great Again while the dems continie there quest to make America a shithole.
This election isn't going to stop Trump nor MAGA This isn't 2018. MAGA isn't a new born political force like it was in 2018. It has had a decade to grow and get supporters and recruit a deep bench. A bench that has seen what it takes to get those votes and what it will take to lose those votes.
There is absolutely no reason to return to the old gop playbook of Bush and Mitt and those thinking a defeat of the gop will end MAGA or Trump will be surprised.
There is a good chance that nothing changes after the election and if that is so even if it's a narrow win for the gop, the dems will be shellshocked for years.
Win, lose or draw with the current tribe mentality of politics I see nothing major changing. Sure, the battle lines might be redrawn and some states may become less of a swing state but on a national level not much will change.
