How much quieter is the new Model 3? Tesla said a 30% reduction in ambient/wind noise and a 20% reduction in road noise. Each decibel is a 7% change in subjective loudness. That means a 4.3 decibel decrease in ambient/wind noise and a 2.9 decibel decrease in road noise. Total = 7.2 decibels I'm assuming that's in ideal conditions and there may be some overlap between the two different types of noise... But even if they can get a 3-5 decibel improvement, it would be excellent.

@LimitingThe If one had access to both a new and old Tesla Model 3 to drive the same stretch of road, one could use a #spectrogram app (e.g. Android Spectral Audio Analyzer (SpectralView Analyzer), iOS #SpectrumView) and see sound energy across the spectrum and over time.
