A domain registry is more than a database of domain names—it is critical internet infrastructure that must deliver reliability, security and operational consistency at scale. From accurate domain lifecycle management and secure EPP transactions to resilient DNS infrastructure, registrar integration, compliance and disaster recovery, every component plays a vital role in maintaining a trusted namespace. As domain volumes and transaction demands grow, registry platforms must scale without compromising performance, data integrity or service continuity. In our latest blog, we explore what a domain registry must deliver to operate successfully at scale, including the technology, security controls, operational processes and long-term partnerships needed to support sustainable growth across ccTLDs, gTLDs and branded namespaces. Another core #Kubernetes concept is #namespaces. They get treated like folders, but they are really a multi-dimensional isolation tool that shapes networking, #RBAC, quotas, and naming all at once. Most teams either dump everything into default or split a namespace per microservice, and both extremes tend to age badly. The article below walks through what namespaces actually isolate (names, RBAC, quotas, NetworkPolicy scope, DNS) and what they do not (nodes, kernel, cluster-scoped resources, traffic by default). It then covers four practical patterns: environment, team, application, and a hybrid model that separates infra tooling from product workloads in a way that fits most production clusters. This is a good write up from Samuel Obeng Amoako Jnr that is worth checking out.

This is massive! Thank you namespace for supporting open-source projects.

ENS is for much more than Ethereum We partnered with @poly_baskets to give prediction market traders on @VaraNetwork free, gasless subnames 🥷 And they're climbing our rankings quickly with over 1.7k subs claimed within weeks

@ChShersh And if you add custom2 or … namespaces the logic will shine. We can have several typedefs or using helpers that pointing to same original and it’s make more sense to the original namespace getting called

🔗 Onchain subnames • Namespace contracts were verified and deployed on ENSv2 mainnet registries, owned by the Namespace @safe • Payments in USDC, DAI & ETH, with a @chainlink ETH/USD price feed • A mainnet fork test runs activate, mint, renew and set records against the real ENSv2 registries • New staging manager on Sepolia, and prod moved to mainnet. The SDK now has the mainnet addresses

A patch that fixes one crash can quietly create a different security boundary failure. AI-assisted fixes are especially tempting when the defect looks local: add a bounds check, change a lifetime rule, reject an input. In kernel and systems code, however, local edits can interact with concurrency, reference counting, capabilities, namespaces, or error recovery far outside the visible function. That is why review context matters more than patch size. Small diffs are not automatically low-risk diffs. **In practical terms, it is a good time to:** - run relevant kernel selftests and subsystem tests rather than relying only on compilation - inspect changes to reference counting, locking, allocation/free paths, and user-controlled lengths - test failure and rollback paths, not only the successful execution path - review whether the change alters capability checks, namespace boundaries, or LSM enforcement points A useful rule for Linux security work: scope review by what the code can affect, not by how many lines changed. #KernelSecurity #LinuxSecurity #OpenSource #VulnerabilityManagement #DevSecOps

Your tenant id was a string join. A Medium LangGraph advisory shows how a single dot in a store namespace can reach another tenant's data. Advisory only; no exploitation reported. 🧵

How the stores save a namespace: they join the labels with a ".". So these two tuples land on the same stored key 👇

Giving each tenant a namespace is a start, not isolation. InfoQ reports ReadyOn isolates its Harmony platform on Amazon EKS in four layers: namespaces, dedicated Karpenter node pools, per-tenant VPC security groups and per-tenant Aurora databases.
