What if one blood test could help detect cancers that often lack routine screening options? 💙
New findings from the PATHFINDER 2 study are providing important evidence about GRAIL’s investigational Galleri® multi-cancer early detection blood test, designed to screen for more than 50 cancers.
Sutter Health was the study’s second-highest enrolling site nationwide, helping connect thousands of adults with research that could shape the future of cancer detection. Led at Sutter by physician-investigators Dr. Charles McDonnell and Dr. Natalia Colocci, the study found 70% of cancers detected by the blood test were those without nationally recommended screening options.
These results show progress in identifying new ways to detect cancer earlier, while researchers continue to study which patients are most likely to benefit and how testing may affect outcomes, follow-up care, cost and access.
