the German Foreign Minister
@ABaerbock the In an interview with her she said:
people in
#Europe we where underlining that maybe there should be a pathway to
#normalization with the
#Assad regime But for us in
#Germany for us in the
#EuropeanUnion in
#France and the
#EU it was crystal clear that we cannot have any normalization and what we have seen here today has proven it was so important that we listen to the voices of the free people of Syria of the voices of
@SyriaCivilDef the white helmets like you who have underlined what kind of regime the Assad
#regime was using torture nobody could have imagined seeing today here what people have been through have been lived in this hell prison of hell underlines how important your work was and I would really like to underline that Thank you so much because you stood up for humanity you stood up for the life And now it's up to the international community to help to bring justice to the people who have suffered here in this prison of hell and this is why we also visited together the European Union represented by France and German foreign ministers here This is what we also passed on during our talks in
#Damascus that justice is a corner piece for reconciliation and society for everybody So what you just requested said that you need support for securing the evidenc for bringing justice to the people We will try to help to do that but it obviously needs also the actors in
#Syria itself And in Germany we had the cases already one of our courts under the principle of
#international #law over the last years and this is what we can build on build on for all the people who suffered something nobody from us can imagine So again thank you for bringing us here and I think it's a moment of remembering how important it is to stand up for dignity and humanity
