Day 89 of #100DaysOfCode - Student Search (interview take-home project): Refactored the two search bars to use a reusable component. Wrote tests using #Jest for a class method and using the #ReactTestingLibrary for several components.
🔥 Day 20 of UNLOCKING REACT : Testing with React Testing Library! 🔥
👉Ensuring the reliability of components is crucial. We can build resilient apps that enhance user experience by focusing on user interactions.

🛠️Go beyond #ReactTestingLibrary with @phry, Senior Staff SE at @apollographql!
When it comes to testing library code, the (usually amazing!) 💻"Testing Library" approach quickly hits its limitations. Let’s discuss all of it at React Advanced London!
📢@danieljcafonso favourite #React libraries are...
"#ReactTestingLibrary - testing is important & I like to sleep well at night. And #ReactQuery. If you've to deal with data fetching, you'll be aware it's very tricky. React Query has made it so easy"
➡
Been using this custom testing-library/react renderer for a few months now and it has made it significantly easier to write tests by logging fragment diffs for better feedback while testing.

What if there was a `debugDiff()` function in #ReactTestingLibrary that would only log out what's changed since the last debug?
I feel like I would use that all the time to avoid hunting for the resulting changes in the markup from events I fire.
Thoughts?
I just refactored the way I fetch data and not one test failed. This shows the power of @TestingLib where you focus on testing the way your software is used rather than implementation details. #reacttestinglibrary#reactjs#testing#webdev
I am very satisfied when I test 100% of the lines of code in a new React.js component that I created this week.
It feels even better if this improves the overall coverage for the unit tests in the repository.
