    I've just received news that I've been promoted to Continuing Lecturer @UCLA #WritingPrograms 🎉 I feel very fortunate to have a job at a place that wants to keep me around - something I truly wish for absolutely everyone.

    At UCLA, I'm a Full-time Lecturer in Writing Programs. Though I am contingent faculty, I still have a salary, benefits, health coverage, even a little funding toward professional development (as well as opportunities to apply for additional funding) 1/4

    @OlsonTheWriter Depends on the faculty. Research their creative writing profs and see what they're about. But I'd be the last person to defend #writingprograms. Perhaps someone else will?? (I took one college writing course in my life. Got an A: ONLY because of the volume of my work :-)
