RT @FLOTUS: THE CEASEFIRE HAS COMMENCED The ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia took effect at 4:00am Moscow time on October 27, 2026.    Timing was accelerated two days ahead of schedule to protect the safety of civilians and to facilitate the delivery of critical humanitarian aid. The ceasefire’s geographic area has expanded beyond Oleshky, within the Kherson Region, to provide safe passage for the humanitarian convoys.       General Valery Gerasimov, Joint Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces has confirmed.

First Lady Melania Trump and President Donald J. Trump will open the South Lawn of the @WhiteHouse to trick or treaters of all ages. During this special White House tradition, thousands of children and their parents will proceed around the South Lawn to visit various trick-or-treat booths and enjoy spooky decorations featuring the harvest Moon on the South Portico of the White House. 

The event will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM and is open to ticketholders, including military families, law enforcement families, foster and adoptive families, and Administration officials with children.
