Day 4/100
Spent more time practicing Bash scripting to strengthen my understanding of it. I'm gradually getting more comfortable with it, even though I still have a long way to go before reaching mastery. One step at a time💃.
#100DaysOfCyberSecurity#BashScripting
Day 18 of learning DevOps in public.
Today I did some digging on Bash scripting and learnt it’s not just about writing “scripts” for the sake of it, it’s about taking what you do manually on Linux and turning it into something the system can repeat without touching it again.
Every script begins with #!/bin/bash. Linux’s way of knowing to run it with Bash. From there, write your commands in a file, make it executable and run it like a program.
Variables were interesting. Bash doesn’t care about types. You just assign name=“Tobi” and reuse with $name.
I learnt about Arrays which handle multiple values under one variable, useful for lists of files or repeated data.
My biggest takeaway: Bash is about removing repetition. The more you write, the more you think, “I shouldn’t be doing this manually again.”

Tutorial de programación con bash, donde vamos a conocer el funcionamiento de los parámetros, los cuales nos van a permitir enviar datos de información dentro de nuestro script, para más tarde asignar dichos valores a las variables. #bashscripting#linux#shellscripting#bash
