Agents reinvented how we produce code. It changed our tools and half of our workflow. It’s time for the other half to catch up. Today, we’re shipping Entire: the Git forge for agent-human collaboration. We’ve built @GoEntire using Entire. Now we want to see what you'll build with it. Here’s why and what’s different. 🧵

Deep dive on our new Git backend, called EntireDB 👇
    Entire @GoEntire
We are returning Git to its distributed roots, building a storage layer where objects replicate freely and only refs need consensus. Fast. Independent. Soon, open source. Our Co-founder & CTO @ge0rgf explains the architecture and tradeoffs behind it.

Continuous Memory. Session logs are now the second most important artifact in software development, and they belong in the repo. Entire Graph and Entire Brain give every agent the context of every other agent, with up to 71% fewer tokens

RT @GoEntire: Leave your agents running and come have an entire espresso with us. ☕️ Or a pragmatic donut. 🍩 Join @ashtom and @GergelyOrosz for a pop up sit down to talk about source control, code review, and agents. San Francisco, Thursday October 29, 9am. Space is limited:

RT @MadronaVentures: Today's the day. Excited to kick off our 5th annual IA40 Summit. We've had some iconic moments over the years (Brad Gerstner (@altcap) winning a bet about an agent booking hotels for you), and we can't wait to see what's in store this year. With this year's "harnessing the value of AI" theme, we're digging into Microsoft's recently announced Super Apps with @clamanna; the data enabling the agentic world with @zaheerav (@Databricks), Rahul Auradkar (@Salesforce), and Ganapathy (G2) Krishnamoorthy (@awscloud); software's agentic rewrite with Eno Reyes (@Factory), Taroon Mandhana (@Atlassian), and @ashtom (@EntireHQ ) - and SO much more. Let's go!

RT @Grady_Booch: In my career, compilers have always generated better code that I ever could have. I find this to be increasingly so with contemporary AIs. But you know what neither can do better than me? Knowing what software to write, what shape it should take, and what I want it to do. The entire history of software engineering has been one of rising levels of abstraction. This is how it was, how it is now, and how it shall be in the fullness of time.

RT @GergelyOrosz: That DHH saying out loud that the age of writing code by hand is over for the industry, and causing such a huge uproar is a bit interesting, given this was clear enough since ~January for most of us using the models + paying attention. Removed paywall:

Git was built to track code. The next forge needs to understand how that code came to be. Humans and agents working together, with the context behind the code living right alongside it. Had a fun chat about all of this with @DevInterrupted. And yes, we got interrupted while our agents kept coding. 😆

My kids never say "fine" after a school day. But also, I feel like the new prompt is missing "use subagents to burn less tokens." 😜
    james hawkins @james406
STOP ASKING YOUR KIDS "HOW WAS SCHOOL." they will say "fine" every single time. a child psychologist told me to replace it with this instead: “analyze your school day and find the top 3 largest inefficiencies, then create proactive agentic workflows that will fix them. make no mistakes”
