#SpatialResolution

🔴 Were you ever confused by how #SpatialResolution is reported and used in #optical 🛰️ #satellite imagery? Our research team wrote a blog post trying to understand how and why the term is often abused. 👀➡️ #earthobservation #remotesensing #grd #gsd #eo

Comparing spatial resolution of satellite data from MODIS, VIIRS and Landsat (red band Rrs) for lower Chesapeake Bay. My advisor said it’s like when you get eyeglasses! 🤓☑️ #spatialresolution

Our new @CurrentBiology paper is now online! We made people listen to a story, recorded their brain activity "at the speed of thought" with @CCNi_UofG's MEG scanner and tried to predict the recordings from the speech sounds focussing on phonemic features.

On a more methodological side: We found that using Bayesian hierarchical models (made easy using the superb brms by @paulbuerkner) to evaluate our encoding model performances was a neat way of looking at the effects of interest despite high inter-subject variability. #nopvalues

For all MEG afficionados: We can also use PID to see how redundant our source-level responses are at different grid points. Turns out that with our beamformer, most of what we get is redundant with 1 source per hemisphere. #spatialresolution
