    Yet another poll with Reform in third. On current trajectories, it won’t be long until they’re averaging in the teens. Given how miserable Farage looked at his half empty press conference yesterday, I remain convinced he’s likely to quit as leader by next summer.

    I always remember Sir Alex Ferguson saying how Ravel Morrison was the most naturally talented player he ever worked with at Man Utd… Yet his career was an abject failure because of his bad attitude and laziness. Kane is in no way the most naturally talented striker England has ever produced. But he is our greatest thanks almost entirely to his impeccable work ethic and mental fortitude. What a role model.

    It's not often I'm labelled "left-wing". Opposing racism and ethno-nationalism is not "left-wing", it's basic humanity. For the record, I believe levels of legal immigration have been far too high and we should have zero tolerance for illegal immigration. But I'm not going to start judging people based on the colour of their skin or ancestry. That's surely quite a basic distinction?

    I suspect this isn’t actually very good data but on the off chance that it is accurate, I will have no sympathy for the Britons who vote for the uniparty and then endure the worst decade they’ve ever experienced between now and 2036. The capital flight will be astounding. You’ll be begging for foreign aid IN rather than dishing it out.

    Yet another reason why I stand by my prediction that Farage won’t be Reform UK leader by next summer. Leaving aside the risk of a standards committee punishment/second by-election, he may just realise his chances of becoming PM are over and decide he doesn’t want to run the third party of British politics. Or… he could decide to resign as leader now and make one of his characteristic last minute comebacks once the next election is called. The “Farage comeback” tactic worked well for him in 2024 so he might try it again in 2028 or 2029.

I couldn’t give two hoots what Andy Burnham thinks of Celebrity Traitors or Strictly - I care how he plans to fix Britain’s long-term problems.
