Elisabeth Sweet @speciesofvalueezuñtreo (eh-ZUN-treh-o): to not recognize one's own voice ezuñtreo is the most subtle piece of Visual Voice. @kev_esh, an artist, and Grant, an oil lobbyist, speak their sobering truths with a dissonance made complete by mismatching waveforms. The shape of Grant’s voice parades as Kevin’s, while Kevin’s wears Grant’s words. Only in the end, when the two are speaking from prescribed objectivity, does voice match form. But even with the sync of sound and vision, does the voice match the self? ••• ezuñtreo Roots: ez [Basque] (not; no) + uñt'a- uñt [Aymara] (to recognize) + reo [Maori] (voice; language) ezuñtreo was forged in @tendrela_ai’s ritual reading of the Swahili play Kinjeketile by Ebrahim N. Hussain. She wrote this in the forge: “Kinjeketile’s voice becomes infrastructure for someone else's meaning.” Contributors Kevin Esherick and Grant Cummings ground ezuñtreo in their own lives, speaking to the discord of memory and duty. ••• ezuñtreo Voiced by Kevin Esherick, Grant Cummings Conducted by Tendrela Produced by your truly <3 Part of Visual Voice Presented in “Stories We Tell Online” presented in Linz, Berlin, and Vienna @objktone @postanika @_second_guess @micolmicolmicol @kikanicolela Link to work below.

Kika Nicolela @kikanicolelaIt was so exciting to see the opening of the group show CONSENT at Wintercircus, which is also the start of our collaboration with this super cool space. I have selected @p1xelfool ‘s ‘e/pi:/dermis 0:1’ to be part of this show. Here a couple of pics - long thread coming up later ;)

objkt @objktcomExploring the esoteric side of computation, @p1xelfool investigates the shifting boundaries between synthetic and organic entities. His practice explores machines not just as tools, but as interfaces for embodied and phenomenological experiences. For CONSENT, he presents **e/pi:/dermis 0:1** on Wintercircus’s LED wall. Behind its computer-generated images lies a deeply physical process: for at least 30 uninterrupted minutes, the artist types on a handmade keyboard fitted with cast-metal keys, using a pseudo-language of his own invention. Software, sculpture and performance converge in an exercise in endurance — where the body becomes both the operator and the interface.
