    ART VOICES | SEASON THREE PREMIERE What happens to human connection when artificial intelligence enters our most intimate relationships? After two seasons of conversations with artists, curators, collectors, and cultural leaders, ART & VAULT opens a new chapter of ART VOICES. Our live conversation series continues to examine the ideas, practices, and people shaping contemporary art and culture. We begin Season Three with New York conceptual artist Kevin Esherick, exploring AI, intimacy, authorship, and what makes us human. The conversation begins with Carol + Lucian, the inaugural acquisition of VAULTED, our ongoing digital art collection. VAULTED acquires and contextualizes. ART VOICES opens the conversation.     Can a voice belong to someone and still feel unfamiliar? In ezūntreo, Elisabeth Sweet (@speciesofvalue) explores the distance between voice and identity, exchanging the spoken words and visual waveforms of Kevin Esherick and Grant Cummings. Submitted for VAULTED Season One via @theHUGart.

    ezuñtreo (eh-ZUN-treh-o): to not recognize one's own voice ezuñtreo is the most subtle piece of Visual Voice. @kev_esh, an artist, and Grant, an oil lobbyist, speak their sobering truths with a dissonance made complete by mismatching waveforms. The shape of Grant’s voice parades as Kevin’s, while Kevin’s wears Grant’s words. Only in the end, when the two are speaking from prescribed objectivity, does voice match form. But even with the sync of sound and vision, does the voice match the self? ••• ezuñtreo Roots: ez [Basque] (not; no) + uñt'a- uñt [Aymara] (to recognize) + reo [Maori] (voice; language) ezuñtreo was forged in @tendrela_ai’s ritual reading of the Swahili play Kinjeketile by Ebrahim N. Hussain.
