Copenhagen Atomics✓

AI needs massive, reliable clean energy to scale. ⚡ Copenhagen Atomics CEO Thomas Jam Pedersen presented last week at @SwissRe's Engineering Underwriting Forum 2026 highlighting how containerized thorium molten salt reactors can unlock base-load power for data centers. #NuclearEnergy #Thorium #DataCenters #SwissRe2026

Copenhagen Atomics in the Swiss press 🇨🇭 Swiss leading newspaper SonntagsZeitung has featured Copenhagen Atomics in an in-depth article by Mischa Aebi exploring our technology, our ongoing work with the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), and our expansion into Switzerland. As Switzerland prepares for an important national discussion on the future of nuclear energy, the piece highlights our ambition to industrialise nuclear energy through scalable, factory-manufactured thorium molten salt reactors. To be clear: we are not relocating our headquarters to Zug (yet) - instead, we are establishing our commercial operations there to anchor ourselves in Switzerland’s exceptional engineering and innovation ecosystem. What would it take to produce ten times more energy than today? ⚛️ At the Paul Scherrer Institute colloquium, our CEO Thomas Jam Pedersen explained why the answer runs through thorium: the only route to breeding in a thermal spectrum, at a raw fuel cost more than 1,000x below solid uranium fuel. Here's why👇 #Thorium #NuclearEnergy

Human progress requires abundant energy, but clean energy debates are stuck in political confusion. It’s time to look at the machines themselves. Here is what a Molten Salt Reactor actually is—and why it’s the tech we need. 👇

Last year we made an agreement to sell 50 of our custom molten salt storage and transportation tanks, today we’re happy to announce the first one has been shipped to a customer in the US with many more to come. #MoltenSalt #NuclearEnergy

Energy Independence Meets AI Innovation in Zurich! ⚡🤖 Our Co-Founder and VP of Critical Materials, Thomas Steenberg, joined the W Executive Breakfast Series panel at the Zurich AI Festival to address one of Europe’s most pressing hurdles: securing sustainable, affordable power generation infrastructure for the 21st century. #Thorium #SecurePower #ZurichAIFestival #TechInnovation #NuclearEnergy

How cheap can nuclear electricity actually get? ⚛️ At the Arnova Capital AG Nuclear Summit in Zürich, our CEO Thomas Jam Pedersen shared how Copenhagen Atomic is targeting an all-in cost of $30–$40/MWh with mass-manufactured scalable Thorium Molten Salt Breeder Reactors. Here's how👇 #Thorium #NuclearEnergy #CostOfElectricity

We have signed a memorandum of understanding with @TENMAK_ , Türkiye's energy, nuclear and mineral research agency, covering thorium fuel sourcing, site evaluation and regulatory readiness. The agreement aims to study the use of thorium in next-generation nuclear technologies and to produce thorium compounds locally. We will report each step as it happens.

It is out now! Find the link below 👇 A few weeks ago we asked what you wanted to know about Copenhagen Atomics. You asked great questions and now the podcast is live 🎧 We cover reactor terminology, pricing, waste, thorium mining, the PSI project, timeline, IPO plans and key technical challenges.

We joined Adnan Belushi on The Nuclear Show for a deep conversation about what we are building at Copenhagen Atomics and why. Our CEO, Thomas Jam Pedersen, talks about the path to our 2028 test reactor, scaling thorium molten salt reactors in the 2030s, and what it is like working inside a hands-on engineering team building real hardware for the future of energy. If you are interested in advanced nuclear and want to help build it, this is a good place to start. Watch the full interview 👇

What would you like to know about Copenhagen Atomics? Ask your questions below 👇 This Friday, co-founders CEO Thomas Jam Pedersen and CTO Aslak Stubsgaard will sit down to give an update on CA and answer some of the many questions we receive. We’ll record the conversation and publish the full video on our YouTube channel. Before we do, we’d love to hear from you. What would you like to know about CA, the molten salt reactor industry, or the people behind the company? Like questions you’d like us to answer, so we can see what interests you.

Did we just solve the corrosion challenge in molten salt reactors? Our experiments show that corrosion drops dramatically when molten fluoride salts are highly purified. In tests with the University of Liverpool, stainless steel showed very low corrosion rates even at very high temperatures. Read here:

Copenhagen Atomics will collaborate with Rare Earths Norway to secure future thorium supply. The agreement supports the development of a European supply chain for the fertile material that powers our molten salt reactors and marks another step toward commercial deployment.

Copenhagen Atomics is different. That is the point. In nuclear energy, very different technologies are grouped under the same labels. It sounds neat. It is also misleading. Our molten salt reactors run for decades on the same fuel. That changes what scaling nuclear can actually look like. Read the full article here:

New YouTube collab 🎬 Europe’s Foundry (euFoundry) just released an episode featuring Copenhagen Atomics, with Thomas Jam Pedersen, Tobias Ravn Thomsen, and George Swalwell. Advanced nuclear is not a slide deck. It is hardware built, tested, and improved through iteration. Watch:

Happy Holidays from all of us at Copenhagen Atomics 🎄 As we pause for Christmas, we’d like to thank everyone who has followed, supported, collaborated with, and challenged us throughout 2025. Our mission remains unchanged: contributing to a future with clean, scalable, and affordable energy. Progress takes persistence, openness, and long-term thinking, and we’re grateful to be part of a community that shares these values. Wishing you a peaceful Christmas 🎄⚛️
