ADGM, Hanwha Asset Management and Hana Financial Group have signed an agreement to explore stablecoins, digital-asset infrastructure, and cross-border payment and remittance solutions between Abu Dhabi and South Korea. Separately, ADIO and Hanwha Life will explore cooperation across digital finance, capital markets and potential real-world asset tokenisation opportunities. The agreements were announced following the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum in Seoul on 16 September. This is worth watching because the focus is moving beyond digital-asset investment products and into the infrastructure used to move money between markets.

Mubadala Capital has joined the tokenization push with a tokenized private markets strategy for qualified investors. Using infrastructure from UAE-based tokenization specialist KAIO, the fund is reportedly available across Solana, Sui and Base, with Coinbase also taking exposure on its own balance sheet. The signal is clear: tokenization is moving further into institutional finance. For Web3, the next phase is less about speculation and more about how real financial products are structured, distributed and accessed on-chain.
