RT @CommerceGov: 🇺🇸 Under President Trump and Secretary Lutnick, the Commerce Department has helped American companies secure $383 BILLION in international deals.
📈 The value of deals secured is more than 5 TIMES greater than during the same period under Biden.
🏭 The deals support 1.3 MILLION American jobs.
American companies are competing and WINNING around the world.
Great to be back in upstate New York to announce the huge $21 BILLION funding for two new semiconductor fabs thanks to President Trump’s historic trade deal with Japan.
Japan is providing the funding for these high tech production facilities, and our partnership with GlobalFoundries will deliver 2 million silicon wafers from these massive new facilities in upstate New York, creating 27,000 construction and related jobs and more than 1,000 high-skilled high paying manufacturing jobs.
We are bringing semiconductor chip manufacturing BACK to America, strengthening our national security, and delivering for our American workers.
This is the America First Trade Agenda in action and it builds big!
RT @CommerceGov: 🇺🇸 As a direct result of President Trump’s U.S.-Japan trade deal, Japan will provide up to $21 BILLION to build two new semiconductor factories in upstate New York.
🏭 GlobalFoundries will operate the two factories, which will create tens of thousands of high-paying American jobs across manufacturing, construction, and the broader semiconductor industry.
Commerce is also redirecting up to $955 million in existing CHIPS funding to bring critical chip production back to America and reduce our reliance on foreign manufacturers.
This is President Trump’s trade agenda in action.
What an amazing evening. My wife, Allison, and I joined President Trump as he hosted President Xi for a State Visit at the White House. The room was spectacular, the music was flawless, and the crowd was second to none. Great to see @elonmusk , @tim_cook and so many exceptional Americans.
Here is the video of the ceiling of the Kennedy Center crashing violently onto the main Lobby floor. Failing roofing, collapsing concrete supports, and steel that is rotting have created completely unsafe conditions.
It was caught on security video, missing one of the Center’s security guards by just minutes. If a performance had been underway, patrons could have been killed.
The entire building is in this kind of shape. People cannot be allowed to go into this building any longer. It must be closed and reconstructed, and a major fundraising effort must take place to cover the Kennedy Center’s operating expenses.
Like many other Centers, it operates at a huge loss. For the Kennedy Center, that has historically been $80-$100 million a year.
Only President Trump can deliver the renovation on time and on budget, and only President Trump can raise the money to keep the Center out of bankruptcy.

Today is the 47th anniversary of my father Solomon Lutnick’s death. He went in for his first chemotherapy injection, and the nurse made a catastrophic mistake and killed him. I had lost my mother 18 months earlier to lymphoma. Forty-seven years ago, I learned what hell smells and feels like.
My father was one of the most popular professors at Queens College. Funny and a great raconteur, he brought American history to life. His dissertation for his PhD at Columbia University was on how the British press misrepresented the Revolutionary War across the United Kingdom. He was calling out fake news in the late 1960s.
While I lost him when I was only 18, he taught me to focus on precision, to be great, not good, and to read, read, read.
Forty-seven years without my Dad, but I carry him inside of me, and I love telling stories about him.
Solomon Lutnick
September 6, 1928 – September 12, 1979
Without the love and support of the Cantor families, I could have never made it through the devastation of 9/11. They gave me the strength to rebuild over the last 25 years. Together always!
RT @RapidResponse47: On September 11, 2001, @howardlutnick lost his brother, his best friend, and 658 of his employees in the terrorist attacks.
Listen to his story — and hear what "NEVER FORGET" means to him.
Stopped by Stone Street after a long day.
When I was standing at the doorway of the World Trade Center 25 years ago, everyone was running out. Only the incredible men and women of the FDNY went IN.
I personally witnessed raw, pure bravery and heroism in the most dire of circumstances. I cannot have more respect than for those that serve in the FDNY.
Doug Gardner is my best friend. He’ll always be my best friend.
We first met in college and were great friends ever since.
Our careers came together, we raised our families together, and we shared every major milestone in our lives.
Doug had a huge heart. He absolutely loved his wife Jennifer and his children, Michael and Julia.
The weekend before 9/11 we were in Central Park together teaching our boys how to ride a bike. Doug was much more successful because Michael started riding very quickly.
Doug made me better. He loved his family, he loved his friends, and he brought joy everywhere he went.
I miss my friend Doug Gardner
My brother Gary was kindest and most fun person I knew. Gary was happy in every photo.
Over the past 25 years, nearly every day there has been a moment when I’ve thought to myself, I wish Gary was here.
Gary was killed at the young age of 36 for being an American and going to work that morning in the greatest country in the world.
I love and miss you every day, my brother.
This 25th anniversary week is tough for all Americans, but especially for me. My firm was located on the top 5 floors of the World Trade Center, and on September 11, 2001, my brother Gary was killed, along with 657 of my friends and colleagues. That day changed everything.
RT @CommerceGov: Secretary Lutnick met with Indian Minister of State for Commerce Jitin Prasada on the sidelines
of the G20 Innovation Ministerial to discuss the future of 6G.
Today, we are pleased to announce that India has joined the U.S. and 24 other countries in the effort to ensure that next generation networks reflect our shared security interests, strengthen our competitiveness, and drive innovation in 6G.
We brought the top 20 governments together from around the world. We invited America’s great entrepreneurs to sit with me and discuss cutting edge AI and how Governments should think about it, this was an exceptional G20 Innovation Ministerial, hosted in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The world’s most impressive innovators spoke directly with leaders from the world’s largest economies about technology, trade, investment, and the future.
America is proud to lead.
While speaking yesterday at the G20 innovation summit about AI, I answered a question about the military actions in Iran, I misspoke. 18 members of our military have died, and to those families my heart breaks and I am so very sorry for their loss. I was thinking about the Venezuelan military operation where no service members died. As the 25th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, I am deeply thankful for our military and the sacrifices the men and women who serve our great country make, so such an attack, where I lost my brother Gary (36), my best friend Doug (39) and 656 other close friends and colleagues in the attacks on the World Trade Center, never happens again. Never!
RT @RapidResponse47: Secretary @howardlutnick: When the Trump Administration came in, we had like 1% production of semiconductors in the U.S. Our goal is now 40-50% domestic production by the end of the term.
