    Look at this, man. No sort of jealousy. I promise you, most superstars playing with other superstars would not react like this. There’d be an element of jealousy. Tells you a lot about the Kane-Olise relationship. He’s genuinely happy for him.

    Funnily enough, the only player I would have understood winning The Ballon D’or this year over Kane was Olise. Only player to make the official UCL, World Cup, and Domestic League TOTS. Most assists in a single World Cup tournament. More GA than someone like Yamal. Showed up in most big games. Think Kane was marginally better in big games than Olise, so that’s where I gave the edge. Besides, Olise will get plenty of other chances. Kane would have less time.

    And I don’t care what the consensus is on here, but I think Declan Rice is a Top 5 player in the world. He contributes to every phase of play. He is the reason Arsenal are so dominant, despite mediocre attacking patterns. Maybe he’s not aesthetically pleasing, but he understands the game. Top percentile ball carrier, space eater, crosser, box crashed, offensively, whilst also top in duels, breaking up attacks. He is so, so good.

    Erling Haaland and Declan Rice are the only Premier League players I can see winning The Ballon D’or in the next 5 years. This is considering everything from team stability, consistency, etc. City and Arsenal are really the only Premier League teams I can see winning The UCL soon.

    I don’t understand some discourse. Kane is the same/similar age to Neymar, Hazard, Salah, etc. They didn’t play in different eras. Kane just has the longevity others do not. He’s been playing an an elite level for 12 years, 7 consecutive Ballon D’or nominations. It’s not “unfair” he won and others didn’t.

Harry Kane doesn’t unlock his passing range if not for Mourinho. Harry Kane doesn’t get the move to Bayern if not for Tuchel. Harry Kane doesn’t have his historic season if not for Kompany. Crazy how almost every coach played a significant role in his path.
