RT @INL: #Onthisday in 1969, the Zero Power Physics Reactor started up. This low-power reactor provided physics data for EBR-II and other fast neutron spectrum reactors. #70yearsofINL

    Critically important point.

Ahmed Abdulla discusses how public financing can actually harm projects if investors view those financing mechanisms as less reliable. Makes sense if a technology is viewed as not viable on its own, only w government support. #FastestPathToZero @SustainUCSD

These two have done a ton to help advanced nuclear. Well deserved and congratulations!

Congrats 🎉 to @LABraase & @JohnJaxon1971, GAIN team members, for their achievements and dedication. They were awarded the @INL Vision Award last Friday night 🏆 #LabDirectorAwards

Auburn was just robbed by a missed call. I don’t know what the right answer is but we need to figure out a review system so that these kinds of things don’t affect game outcomes.

Also reminds me how thankful I am that really large doses of ionizing radiation will sterilize pretty much everything. Might want to explore that more often for decontamination purposes.

If you see Ed Lyman quoted in an article about nuclear it's most likely he is wrong on most or all accounts. He is anti-nuclear, has little technical credibility, and should not be given a platform as an expert by media organizations. Please do better journalists!

Recent quote on fast reactors is wrong on all accounts. They actually can offer superior economics, safety, and security. Oh, and they can recycle waste. That's a pretty powerful combination and value proposition.

Observation: you can use smart links on conference call invites that take you right to the conference call. Also, phone numbers are not a location, better to enter them elsewhere on a calendar invite.

A good example of high impact awards and partnerships. Also of an efficient organization - applications received, reviewed, and awarded in two months. Others should take note.

Adding stages and gates to a process does not usually make it faster. For example, while there are lessons to learn from, Canada's licensing process has three separate applications, excluding preliminary review stages.

RT @caorilne: I think we can go yet faster to deal with well-meaning attempts to have govt take over work that should be done by companies/communities or distortion of resources based on congressional mandate, but it won't make it easier for us or those coming behind who will seek investment.

RT @caorilne: If anything the past has shown this is an outrageously outdated industry, severely disconnected from market needs or public concerns, overly funded by the government, over regulated, antagonistic to other clean energy and devoid of innovation. More of govt won't fix any of that.
