RT @VIMIL20: Playing Tekken 6 again lately has brought back a huge wave of nostalgia. Every time I jump on stream or chat with friends, we always end up talking about those good old T6 days.
Growing up, I always loved video games, but I usually played whatever was popular just to hang out with friends. Tekken was the very first game I genuinely fell in love with on my own and decided to pursue passionately.
My gamelife started back in high school with Tekken 5DR, playing at an arcade near my school on my walk home late at night. Then came Tekken 6 (6.0 vanilla). That was when I registered my very first arcade card on TEKKEN-NET, struggling to master every single one of Steve's moves.
By the time Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion came out, my passion had completely exploded. Even when I had no money, I’d spend hours at the arcade just watching others play—sometimes even spending my bus fare home just to insert one last coin. Back at home, I was constantly tuned into the famous Green Arcade livestreams.
Through Tekken 6, I built lifelong friendships and met so many amazing people—connections that I still treasure to this day. That is why, out of every title in the franchise, Tekken 6 holds the deepest place in my heart. Each game has its own charm, but I always say: T6BR was the absolute peak.
Seeing Tekken 6 revive and be played again recently makes me so incredibly happy.
Fighting games are unique—they simply cannot exist without an opponent sitting across from you. In that sense, I believe this joy is something created together by the entire community. I truly hope this game continues to be played and preserved worldwide for a long time, just like Starcraft.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the original creators at Bandai Namco (and I sincerely hope for an official re-release someday!), as well as the amazing developers who created the launcher and brought these priceless memories back to life.
Thank you all for keeping the flame alive
Here is my profile from back when I first started. Looking at it now, my win rate wasn't that great.
Also sharing an old clip! Please excuse the poor quality and lack of sound—the gameplay is pretty clumsy too lol.
(For reference, my final rank in 6BR was Destroyer!)
