Former #Patriots LB Brandon Spikes did NOT like former Ravens RB Ray Rice 🤣 “I love animals. I don’t trust people that don’t got pets… That’s why I ain’t like Ray Rice little ass. I used to be out there tryna kill his little ass because I knew he was puttin’ his hands on women… I was supposed to kill him, like he was little. Like, come on now. I ain’t get hyped to play against him. I’m supposed to kill him. Like he run hard, he whatever. No disrespect. But this what I’m here to do. This my mothaf***in’ job. You ain’t gettin’ no rushin— all that s**t you was doing, it’s over now. I’m here. And Bill [Belichick] drafted me just to stop yo ass. All of that running s**t they were doing in that conference during that time — Bill personally said, ‘Hey, stop all of it and we can go to the Super Bowl.’ And guess what we did? [We stopped it]. Easy too. I said, ‘This s**t easy, man! I ain’t even really serious about this s**t! I ain’t no professional yet.’ I wasn’t ever professional.” (🎥 @BussinWTB)

#Patriots CB Carlton Davis (neck) plans on playing this Sunday after missing the last three games, per @ByMarkDaniels and @DougKyed. “I’m happy to be back out here and be a full go.” Davis added that he initially returned too soon, which ended up making the injury worse.

    #Patriots WR DeMario Douglas’ career stats compared to Colts WR Josh Downs (regular season only): 2023: 🔹Douglas: 49 REC | 561 YDS | 0 TD 🔹Downs: 68 REC | 771 YDS | 2 TD 2024: 🔹Douglas: 66 REC | 621 YDS | 3 TD 🔹Downs: 72 REC | 803 YDS | 5 TD 2025: 🔹Douglas: 31 REC | 447 YDS | 3 TD 🔹Downs: 58 REC | 566 YDS | 4 TD 2026 (7 Games): 🔹Douglas: 23 REC | 256 YDS | 3 TD 🔹Downs: 26 REC | 307 YDS | 0 TD While Downs has the edge in overall production, Douglas has a higher career catch rate (68.7% vs. 66.1%) and yards per target (7.7 vs. 7.2). Would acquiring Downs be worth it, or should the Patriots stick with Douglas?

RT @ezlazar: They're both great so this isn't a knock on Caleb. But it's weird to me that Williams gets credit for his out-of-structure playmaking over Maye when Maye does it more often and better than arguably any QB in the NFL.

17 NFL executives and coaches voted on which QB they would rather build their team around: #Patriots QB Drake Maye or Bears QB Caleb Williams. The results? 🔹Caleb Williams (12) 🔹Drake Maye (5) Those who favored Williams cited his higher ceiling, creativity, clutch play, and ability to make plays even against perfect defensive calls. Those who favored Maye pointed to his personality, consistency, and ability to operate from the pocket and work through progressions. Despite the difference in votes, Breer noted that both QBs were highly regarded: “And that raised a follow-up question for me with all these guys: Are these two the best to come out over the past six classes (2021 to ’26)? Most of those I asked said yes.” (✍️ @AlbertBreer)

It’s always interesting listening in on the dialogue between #Patriots OC Josh McDaniels and Drake Maye: “You’re doing fine, alright? Keep getting them in and out of the huddle quickly, so that we can get to the line of scrimmage. Because you’re clearly going to get tested, y’know what I mean, on third down, which is okay. Don’t do anything different than what you’re doing. We just gotta find some positive plays on first down. I’m gonna give you a chance to throw some chunks here at some point.” (🎥 @Patriots)

@kguregian suggested a few potential trade targets for the #Patriots ahead of the November 10th deadline: 🔹G Andrew Wylie (Commanders) 🔹G/C Jackson Powers-Johnson (Raiders) 🔹DT DeForest Buckner (Colts) 🔹DT Jeffery Simmons (Titans) 🔹EDGE Khalil Mack (Chargers) However, Guregian believes New England is unlikely to make a major move: “This year? Will they be as aggressive making trades as they’ve been on fourth down? The sense here, is probably not. A big splash doesn’t appear to be in the cards. If anything, any additions will likely be minor depth-related moves.”

Will the #Patriots end up making a trade before the deadline? Quenton Nelson was obviously my top target, but with him now off the table, there really isn’t anyone else who intrigues me.

RT @MikeReiss: OLB Jose Ramirez is re-signing with the Patriots’ practice squad, per a source. Team continues to juggle its 17-man practice squad to account for injuries/depth, and Ramirez helped in games on special teams before being let go to account for OL-based needs.
