As treasurer, I’m a watchdog for taxpayers. We’re going to keep helping families send their kids to college, fighting Wall Street and defending working families, and returning money to its rightful owners.

I hate to see rain on a parade, especially when my hometown is celebrating their 150th anniversary. It was great to see so many friends at the community building at at the parade before the rain started. Happy sesquicentennial, Gifford!

Pleasure closing out #PrideMonth by marching in the Chicago Pride Parade! Marching can be an act of resistance in these times when LGBT people are under attack. I will always stand up for equal rights and will fight for the right to love who you love.

You hire clowns, you get a circus This would be funny if he wasn’t running a department that is so vital for our national security.

It seems like just yesterday it was warm and sunny, but today it’s overcast, damp, and we are back in the 50’s. Looks like Trump and MAGA are getting their wish.

I can’t say I’m sad to see Bruce Pearl lose.

Had a great time at the @KaneDems & @demsindupage dinners meeting fired-up Democrats ready to take on Trump & Musk’s extremist agenda! Our Collar County Dems know how to win—now let’s do it again on April 1st. Let’s stop MAGA locally & build momentum for 2026, 2028, and beyond!

Honored to receive the Sandra Otaka Memorial Grand Asian American Award & celebrate #LunarNewYear with AACC! Judge Otaka left a legacy of justice and service. Happy New Year to all who celebrate!

Rod Blagojevich withheld funds for sick children for political leverage. We should not be surprised that Trump doesn’t think that’s a crime. The difference is when Blagojevich did it, Democrats impeached him. When Trump illegally withholds funds, Republicans cheer him on.

Looks like Donald Trump is keeping his promise by sending criminals abroad

It’s not often that I agree with the Wall Street Journal editorial page, but we both agree that Donald Trump’s trade war with some of our closest allies is just stupid. Americans will end up paying more because of his recklessness.

This weekend, we took the first step in organizing the fight against Trump. At the @DNC Winter Meeting, I joined Treasurers Deb Goldberg & James Diossa to discuss how Democratic Treasurers are holding corporations accountable & fighting for working families!

1/6 That’s a wrap on 2024! This year was a whirlwind—marching in parades, canvassing with candidates, and most importantly, celebrating my boys’ first birthday!

5/6 No matter what challenges the future holds, I ask that we all hold onto hope. It’s what carries us through the darkest nights and gives us the strength to fight for better communities, a better state, and a better country

6/6 Here’s to 2025 and the opportunities ahead! Together, we’ll keep working for our neighbors and our communities—this year and every year. Wishing you and your loved ones a very happy #NewYear!

Excited to see the Illini beat South Carolina at the Citrus Bowl! Congratulations on their first 10 win season in 23 years. #IlliniNation
