A New York convenience store owner was charged for allegedly operating an unlicensed check-cashing scheme that moved more than $1.1M between 2025 and 2026. Authorities seized approximately $875,000 during the investigation. Learn more:

Fugitive fraudster Herbert Kimble was sentenced to 20 years in prison for leading a $365M Medicare fraud scheme involving sham telemedicine companies, kickbacks, & medically unnecessary braces. He must forfeit $195M and pay $199M in restitution. More:

A Texas husband and wife were sentenced to a combined 190 months in prison for a Medicare fraud scheme that billed $14M for power wheelchairs, parts, and repairs for just 37 beneficiaries. They were also ordered to pay $9.2M in restitution. Learn more:
