It's a good time to restate: Trump CANNOT and DOES NOT see beyond himself. He is NOT strategic - he is transactional. He is a walking talking "id." He only pivots from self-interest, and cannot shut up or stop, even when it serves his interest. He is a dangerous malignant narcissist, who is returning to power during cognitive decline, OWNED by disorders.

Look! Obama! A real president! An actual leader! On TV! Speaking to ALL the country - about values, history, courage, sacrifice, allies, empathy, and our commitment to Democracy. He is frank, forceful, articulate, truthful. No spin, no digression, no hyperbole, no bribes, no self-aggrandizement, no disconnects, no random body sounds, no ass talk. Just communication filled with information and good sense. In a spirit of unity, urgency, and hope. Honesty. Truth. Teamwork. Togetherness. Leadership. I miss it so much and it's great to feel it again.

Just compare Obama and Ossoff to Trump and Cindy Hyde-Smith - not to be rude, but are they even of the same species?

I have this really special bottle of 25-year-old single malt scotch from Glencadam that I'm planning to open when I know we took the Senate. Today, I moved it to a lower shelf.

I don't want to jinx anything, put forth overconfidence, or take anything away from the urgency. But there is a phenomenon we sometimes see when an emotionally collective group (like a cult) lessens in overall intensity. Many members remain reluctant to admit publicly that which they more readily admit privately or to themselves. If this phenomenon holds here, then there are lots of voters telling pollsters they DO approve of Trump, but privately - they no longer do, and if this phenomenon is at play, as I think it might be, prepare for a cornucopia of Blue.

It's a lot easier to make a fool of someone than to convince them that they've been made a fool. Trumpism.

RT @AmoneyResists: Here’s another clip of a woman reading Trump’s words verbatim from a recent rally in Mississippi that puts a giant magnifying glass over how gone he is cognitively and unfit he is for office.

My good friend Dave in the UK - I've posted about him before - was a longtime Republican when he lived here. He tells me that Trump's erratic behavior, ill health, grift, threats, and ultimatums, disturbing as they are, are less disturbing than the continued enablement of him by the GOP. He says he and his friends consider themselves to be politically astute, right of center, pro-democracy world citizens, and they conclude that it's the GOP that has killed America on the world stage. He says Trump embarrasses America, but he's been empowered by the GOP. He adds that nobody would weep for the Iranian regime, but the world still sees the Iranian people as real flesh and blood with families and dreams and emotions. Same as they see Israelis and Palestinians, and immigrants, legal or otherwise - these are people, they are not purely reflective of their governments. He concludes that - the American GOP has become barren of humanity and make no distinction for humanity. They are about pure politics and political gain. He talked my ear off about Starlink and Ukraine. He thinks a large chunk of educated people know that Trump and his cabinet are unchecked sociopaths, but he concludes that the GOP "chooses to imitate Trump's sociopathy" for grift and gain, and he hates the shallowness of that. And the fact that it's not the exception but the norm within the GOP, is why he and his friends conclude: the GOP is killing America and needs to be gutted. He says if he still lived here, he'd vote Blue all the way.

Whenever I notice that I'm hearing less from a particular member of Trump 2.0 these days, I assume it's because they're busy looking for a new job and/or interviewing attorneys to represent them.

I saw Markwayne Mullin on Fox News for a minute this morning. I had no idea what he was speaking about. He labors to say the simplest things. Honestly, he's not a bad communicator - he's a non-communicator. I imagine him at dinner nightly with his family, wanting someone to pass him the salt, and it never happens.

Good morning. The sky is clear. My dog is a good boy. We're less than a week away from the election. Trump's closing message, beyond him taking multiple cognitive exams and liking male ass, appears to be that he's making more money than ever and if you were in Mar-a-Lago, you couldn't even afford a hamburger. Every speech he gives hurts the GOP. He is old. He is ill. He is pathologically disordered. He's globally reviled and universally distrusted. He's also become something else in recent weeks: He's now the man behind the curtain that is exposed as the antithesis of his myth. On that note, James Talarico just outdrew him in Lubbock, TX. He's also heavily medicated - you can tell by his increased gaffes, uneven energy, giant pupils, sweats, and his newfound inability to even snap back at hecklers. He's badly craving to put forth grandiosity. But he can't. And he's desperately trying to avoid humiliation. But it's coming for him. His lies are more obvious and exposed now; his hyperbole is more fantastical and cartoonish. His incredibly corrupt self-centeredness now defines him. He is miserable, so he inflicts misery. He is damaged, so he is a damager of all things. He's a parasite, a pariah, a plunderer, and a putz. But enough about him. This land belongs to its People. That's us. And we're days away from proving it. Have a nice day!

Copper is out today, meeting with and rallying alongside the California canine community. He's arranging for thousands of dogs to observe and protect polling places next Tuesday. Copper's goal is that there will be at least 5 dogs for every government monitor.

RT @davetroy: Republicans seem genuinely despondent over early voting numbers. The fake “color revolution” plot they are trying to sell about Dems is both stupid and too complicated to follow. Trumpism seems set to fade out with a whimper, but the two folks who may not be able to accept that are Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and they each would seem to pose a unique danger in this moment of deep rejection. Eyes on those two.

I'm noticing that some of the MAGA accounts that follow me just to more easily comment stupidly on my posts are starting to unfollow me now. I would say that I hope they are ok, but I can't really do that, because I'm unable to ascertain that they ever were.

Hispanic turnout in Texas is over the top. Urban turnout overall - very strong in Texas. And Kansas - watch Kansas - rural voters are lagging bigtime. Remember - these are THE two worst candidates on the GOP docket - indefensibly bad - and totally Trumpian in their horribleness.

I'm not a medical doctor. But Trump sounds hoarse and looks terrible. He's puffy, lumpy, craggy, coarse, blotchy, sweaty, pale, and lopsided.

Flavio Bolsonaro has apparently fled Brazil for the United States. It is believed he was granted political asylum by Trump. After he lost the election, he stood in front of a camera and told the country he would never consider leaving Brazil and would comply with a court order to hand over his passports. Then he stopped responding to anyone, and the next day, the plane was in the air. This election - OUR election - is about SO MUCH MORE than gas prices, foreign wars, and cultural nonsense. We are on the wrong side of everything under Trump - the Un-America side, the Putin side. It needs to be shut down. Next Tuesday will be a big start because some of our electorate seems to be waking up to reality. We need others to put aside defiance, delusions, and dopamine addiction, wake the f*ck up, too.
