    No CEO or company has fought harder for effective crypto regulation than @brian_armstrong and @coinbase. I'm thrilled to be taking the helm as Vice Chair to ensure Coinbase's gold standard for digital assets dominates globally. The Clarity Act is at the one yard line. From my years already spent at Coinbase and my time at the SEC, I know what a crucial unlock a regulatory framework will be to protecting millions of American consumers who use crypto in their day-to-day lives. Americans deserve the best financial opportunities and protections, so it's great to see bipartisan support for getting this done.     People need money to work for them - not the other way around. A payment sent Friday shouldn't wait until Monday, and transfer fees shouldn't bleed families dry. Nearly 3/4 of stablecoin volume moves outside banking hours, and remittance costs can be 86% lower. It's time to bring our financial system into the modern era.

Unfortunately, our rules and regulations have not kept pace. To that end, today’s proposal would provide a clear regulatory framework for the custody of crypto assets, giving investment advisers and funds a compliant pathway where none existed before—and replacing the grey of uncertainty created by custody rules crafted for a bygone era.
