Key provisions of my Hearing Protection Act became law as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill, eliminating the federal tax on suppressors. That change paved the way for the recent federal court ruling striking down the National Firearms Act’s registration requirements, a major victory for law-abiding gun owners. Discussing the effectiveness of state and federal conservation programs, along with challenges facing the cattle industry such as cattle prices, transportation costs, processing capacity, food safety, and consumer education, is essential to understanding the needs of our farmers.
