Quick public service announcement from me. I am NOT a source of information. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Everything I post is just my personal opinion, my half-baked take, or me yelling at the clouds. I will almost certainly be wrong about something (probably multiple things). That’s basically guaranteed. I do this purely for fun, debate, and because I’m bored on the sofa (thanks to the injury). No grand plans, no podcast ambitions, no clout-chasing, no “building a brand.” Just debates and occasional regret in the replies. So argue with me, roast me, or laugh along — but please don’t quote me in an argument or as proof of facts like I’m some kind of authority. I’m basically just a person with opinions and Wi-Fi. Carry on! 😂❤️

Courts ordered them tagged. More than 5,000 walked out without one. Violent and sex offenders, domestic abusers, stalkers. Serco hit its targets for trying to fit tags, not fitting them. Victims were told they'd be protected. They weren't. @LeeAndersonMP_ raised this in Parliament. Who's answering for it now? @AlexJJNorris @ShabanaMahmood @MoJGovUK

Andrew McAdam, 36, has been sentenced to an extended term of 14 years after pleading guilty to nine charges involving the sexual abuse and exploitation of children, including encouraging another offender to sexually abuse a child in England. McAdam’s offences took place between March 2023 and September 2024. They included sexually abusing an infant aged 12 to 18 months, recording and sharing the abuse, sharing indecent images of children, sexual exposure, public indecency and sexual communications. In a separate incident, he exposed himself and filmed himself on the top deck of a bus in Edinburgh city centre. McAdam came to Greater Manchester Police’s attention during a separate investigation in November 2022, when detectives discovered indecent images of children on another offender’s device. This led Police Scotland to examine McAdam’s devices. Investigators uncovered 1,442 WhatsApp messages between McAdam and England-based offender Connor Cashmore, alongside communications on Instagram and Telegram. McAdam also exchanged more than 100 messages with another offender, including images and videos, some of which were set to disappear after being viewed. While in Scotland, McAdam encouraged Cashmore to sexually abuse another child in England, including communicating with him while the abuse was taking place. Cashmore was jailed for 20 years in October 2024 for 16 child sexual offences, including rape and sexual assault. The abuse had a profound and lasting impact on the victim and their family. The child’s parents described the distress of repeatedly discovering that the abuse was worse than they had previously understood. They said they dreaded calls from unknown numbers and feared that police visits might bring further devastating news. They also expressed concern about the long-term effects on their child’s emotional wellbeing and future relationships. On 27 October 2026, Lord Scott sentenced McAdam at the High Court in Glasgow to an extended sentence of 14 years, comprising 10 years and six months in custody followed by three years and six months on licence. The judge assessed McAdam’s culpability and the harm caused as extremely high, describing the offending as deliberate rather than impulsive. McAdam had no previous convictions and had completed a 10-session programme with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation. However, the judge found that he minimised his responsibility and showed limited remorse and empathy for his victims. His depression and a traumatic experience in his early twenties were considered, alongside his guilty pleas, when determining the sentence. McAdam was also placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely and given a non-harassment order banning contact with the victim. Police Scotland said the case highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation. Detective Inspector Wells said McAdam’s abuse had caused his child victim lasting trauma and profoundly affected their life. The force said it remained committed to supporting victims and bringing those responsible for sexual crimes to justice. #UKNews #CrimeNews #Scotland

We voted against this. 👇 Two thirds of his own constituents backed Leave. Healey on freedom of movement: "certainly for this parliament, it's ruled out." For this parliament. After the election it's "part of a bigger discussion". What is it that makes him believe his opinion means more? 😡

Armed police had to storm a bus in Yardley, Birmingham, after a teenage boy was stabbed. Five arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. A zombie knife recovered. On a bus. In broad daylight. This is what knife crime looks like now, and it needs more than words.

55 arrests since April. Over £50k of illicit goods seized. 24 uninsured cars off the road. That's West Yorkshire Police's crackdown in Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury. Good to see proper, visible policing getting results. Keep it going. Ravensthorpe residents, there's a public meeting on 4 Nov at the Greenwood Centre. 👏 👏

Dave’s final thought of the night. Wes Streeting said he’d resign if the Defence Investment Plan wasn’t fully funded, calling it “a matter of principle”. Today’s Budget tables put the MoD’s day-to-day budget about £1.5bn a year below the plan in 2027-28 and 2028-29. The Treasury says it’s a pensions accounting change. So which is it, Wes? Explain the gap, or keep your word. @wesstreeting

A man in his 40s has been stabbed to death in Small Heath, Birmingham. Police were called to Coventry Road at around 1:15pm and a 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Another fatal stabbing in broad daylight, a day after a 14-year-old was stabbed in Yardley. This has to stop.

Breaking news.. Tommy Robinson found guilty for pushing back after the Daily Mail doxed his family, smeared him as stoking riots from a sunbed, and put his kids in the crosshairs. Journalists can hunt you down and publish your private life with zero consequence. You dare push back and demand they take the photo down? That’s “harassment.”

He was not remanded. Sentencing is fixed for 16 December. He remains free on bail until then. No reports of the judge remanding him in custody after the guilty verdicts.

Budget 2026 - Hidden details they don’t want you to notice… Look what's in the Budget small print. £150m of taxpayers' money "to fund additional large sites to accommodate asylum seekers." One line in a 166-page document, and not a word of it in the speech coverage. They shout about the £100 energy payment while this goes in the paperwork. Unbelievable.

Healey blamed the war in the Middle East for hammering energy prices, growth and public finances: 'We did not want this war.' 🙄 Same speech: £10bn more for Ukraine, mostly loans and guarantees, plus extra military funding, with 'as long as it takes' and no end date. One war is a shock we absorb. The other is a commitment with no end in sight. Pick a lane.

Look here, not over there. A £100 energy payment and gas standing charges scrapped: those are the headlines Healey wants you to see. Over there, the OBR has cut headroom to £15bn from £23.6bn in March, the deficit is 4.2% of GDP against the 3.6% forecast, and we're paying £14bn more in debt interest this year.

UK Parliament has mentioned Gaza more than the NHS or immigration. In the Commons, Gaza racked up 9,228 mentions in roughly the first 10 months after the 2024 election — more than immigration/asylum (~5,700) or the NHS (~5,300). A year on, it is still regularly debated: ceasefire, aid, arms, RAF flights, inquiries. This is a conflict 2,000 miles away with no British troops on the ground, no UK territory at stake, and no direct threat to Britain. Domestic problems — waiting lists, housing, borders — keep getting ignored.

Budget day. Expect fuel duty relief, energy bill help and more tax on banks and gambling. Reportedly the headroom is down to as little as £10bn, and the big decisions on welfare and spending are being kicked to next year. Same story every time: spend now, ask questions later, and leave the bill with working people.

Warning!! ⛔️ France's Socialists want to give legal status to around 300,000 undocumented workers. The National Assembly votes on it on 19 Nov. Spain has already done the same. If France follows and the UK ever talks about rejoining free movement, the answer should be no, under any circumstances. Our borders, our decision.

BREAKING: 👽 🚨 Walter Koenig, Chekov in the original Star Trek, has died aged 90. He passed away at home in North Hollywood on Sunday, with his daughter and niece beside him. Star Trek had a huge influence on my life and he was one of my favorite characters. "Of course, it was invented in Russia." Rest in peace. 🖖
