I had a bad day... I feel like giving up. I don't feel like a good teacher at all. Of my 40 8th grade students, only 13 got proficient on their "midterm". I don't know what else to do.

Both hubby and I hunkered down at a spot yesterday to get work done for school today. On top of that I have a terrible case of bronchitis and should have just been resting but nope.

Would you work one day a week for free? Labor Day exists because workers fought for something we now consider basic: fair pay, reasonable hours, and the idea that your time and labor have value. But more than a century later, teachers are still expected to donate theirs.

RT @ayenzie_: Hey Teachers, If you have snacks on your wishlists, drop links here! No child should learn while hungry and no teacher should teach while hangry. 😆💙 For this one, as it’s food, I will reply to you if I bought off your list, so you’re aware, and ready for the goods to arrive.
