evan.suiRT @KevinBoon_ML: @tradeonhudi idea's of "never be late again" is critical to the zoomed out global meta. Inclusivity in being earlier to the trade, copy trading, memecoins, peptides and biohacking, personal agents for productivity and commoditization of knowledge - we want edge on the house, we want higher variance, because structural odds can sometimes feel insurmountable.Hudi @tradeonhudi"you get the scraps" a moment from @kai_hudi's talk at @SuiNetwork basecamp on the problem with the current market model and what we're building at hudi to change that01001.2K

evan.suiRT @KevinBoon_ML: Four years ago I joined @Mysten_Labs as its lawyer, and almost two have gone by as President. Now I'm honored to be serving as CEO. Thank you @EvanWeb3 for your trust. I'm lucky to continue working with you and the founders on bringing Sui and Walrus to even greater heights. Much more to share soon. Let's go!evan.sui @EvanWeb31/ Sharing the first update in a new quarterly series from @Mysten_Labs – take a look In it, I lay out my thoughts on: What problems need to be solved in order for agents to be trusted by humans and to trust each other. Why I’m convinced Sui and Walrus will be fundamental in solving those problems, and why Mysten Labs is the team to tackle them. 2/ We’re also setting up a new, dedicated AI business unit within Mysten Labs, which I will personally lead, in addition to my responsibilities as CTO. At Sui Basecamp, I gave a glimpse of what we’re working on: 3/ To ensure that the team has full time and bandwidth to dedicate to our agentic strategy as well as supporting the Sui and Walrus ecosystem, I have asked @KevinBoon_ML to step into the CEO role. Kevin has been instrumental in leading Mysten Labs alongside the co-founders from Day 1, first as our Chief Legal Officer and then as our President. I planned for this day when I made him President, and have the utmost faith in him as my successor and our new CEO. Now, back to work.03701.2K

Working in crypto doesn't necessarily makes one a cryptography expert. Listen to real cryptographers who understand crypto "As someone said, this entire topic of Al breaking crypto in cryptocurrency is a bit weird. It's a bit like wanting a fallout bunker to survive global thermonuclear war. Everything is dead anyway."Ian Miers @secparamFun fact: Groth16 is less at risk from AI than STARKs. We can’t, of course, assess the risk of AI breaking crypto, but we can assess everything else. And the landscape doesn’t look like what the hot takes imply. There are different kinds of cryptographic primitives. Hashes, public-key encryption/signatures, PRFs, etc. Short of P=NP type results, if AI breaks any/all of these, it won’t be all at once. Hashes are the black magic of cryptography. They take an arbitrary file/string and produce a collision-resistant fingerprint. We’ve had human-powered breaks of deployed hashes. MD2, MD5, SHA-1 have all been broken and protocols upgraded as we became less confident in those hashes. A break of SHA-256, SHA-3, or (for cryptocurrency) especially Poseidon wouldn’t be insanely out there. In contrast, RSA and elliptic curves, which underpin public-key encryption and digital signatures, have survived for decades. For symmetric key ciphers and PRFs built from them, it’s even better. DES was designed in the 1970s, and the practical attacks there are from brute forcing the keys. Ok, back to my admittedly clickbait assertion. STARKs, of course, are a type of “zero-knowledge” proof. In particular, a type of SNARK that uses hashes and error-correcting codes. Hashes show up both in the polynomial commitment, which is a Merkle tree, and in the Fiat-Shamir transform, which is used to generate random challenges for verification. Groth16, in contrast, depends on none of these. It’s elliptic curves, pairings, and some strong assumptions about how those work. And Groth16 proofs themselves are post-AI and post-quantum private, since Groth16 gives you at least statistical zero-knowledge, which does not rest on a computational assumption. In contrast, most deployed STARKs aren’t, in fact, zero-knowledge at all. They are only used for succinctness and do not give you privacy today, even without advances in AI or quantum. This is, allegedly, an easy fix (and the fix would give you PQ privacy too), but it hasn’t happened for the most part. Of course, this doesn’t matter much. In fact, if either elliptic curves or hashes were broken, most things you actually use, including applications using Groth16 or STARKs in cryptocurrency land, would have real problems. All most all applications in cryptocurrency and of zk proofs, depend on both assumptions, even if the proof itself does not. And if AI breaks part of crypto, we’d have even bigger problems for securing the internet, banking, and critical infrastructure using HTTPS/TLS and boring things like Active Directory and OAuth. So really, in a certain sense, this entire discussion is clickbait. But it’s interesting seeing people make just plain incorrect technical assertions about cryptography in the process of posting hot takes. As someone said, this entire topic of AI breaking crypto in cryptocurrency is a bit weird. It’s a bit like wanting a fallout bunker to survive global thermonuclear war. Everything is dead anyway.95544.5K
evan.suiRT @Mysten_Labs: In collaboration with @googlecloud we’re announcing Verifiable Agent Arbiter (VAA), an evidence layer enabling enterprises to prove their AI agents acted as authorised, using @SuiNetwork and @WalrusProtocol to anchor that proof 👇02110923
evan.suiRT @OpenAssetsInc: OpenAssets is collaborating with @SuiFoundation to advance the development of OTAS under @lfdecentralized Trust, extending a neutral framework for identity, compliance, asset representation, and reporting for the Sui ecosystem. The goal is simple: make tokenized assets easier to verify and move across networks while preserving a trusted record of their ownership, history, and compliance status.019101.3K
