@DEVIKA12327912: Why Jammu Pradesh is the only real solution
#JammuPradesh #JPPM @BJP4JnK @BJP4India
Unity cannot mean permanent second-class status.
When one region consistently decides the fate of the other in cabinet, in budgets, in jobs, and in narrative
the relationship stops being a partnership and becomes a hierarchy.
That is why more and more voices in Jammu are saying clearly:
Jammu Pradesh is the only option.
Not against Kashmir.
Not against India.
Simply for dignity, equality, and self-governance for the people of Jammu.
For decades, the people of Jammu have been told to “wait,” “adjust,” and “stay united.”
But every major decision — from cabinet formation to development funds, jobs, and political power — has repeatedly shown the same pattern: Jammu is treated as a junior partner and a colony.
Here are the core reasons why a separate Jammu Pradesh has become the only lasting answer:
1. Permanent Political Subordination
• Kashmir-centric parties (especially National Conference) have dominated power since 1947.
• Even after the 2024 elections, the recent cabinet expansion (Oct 2026) made it crystal clear: 7 ministers from Kashmir, only 2 from Jammu region (and both from Pir Panjal — not the Dogra heartland).
• Mainland Jammu (Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur) and Chenab Valley were left with zero representation.
• In a system where one region permanently controls the levers of power, equal partnership is a myth.
2. Systematic Neglect in Development & Resources
• Jammu contributes significantly to revenue through trade, industry, and services, yet development funds, infrastructure projects, and tourism promotion have historically been skewed towards the Valley.
• Major tourist potential in Jammu (pilgrimage circuits, heritage sites, adventure tourism) remains underdeveloped while Kashmir receives priority attention.
• Industrial estates, higher education institutes, and key projects have often lagged or been delayed in Jammu despite its larger land area and strategic location.
3. Discrimination in Jobs & Opportunities
• Persistent complaints of bias in government recruitments, professional college admissions, and administrative postings.
• Recent flashpoints (medical college seat allocations, reservation certificate patterns, etc.) have reinforced the feeling that the system is stacked against Jammu youth.
• When power is concentrated in one region, the bureaucracy and institutions naturally tilt in that direction.
4. Cultural & Identity Erasure
• Jammu has its own distinct Dogra history, language (Dogri), culture, and traditions rooted in the Dogra empire of Maharaja Hari Singh.
• Under Kashmir-dominated politics, this identity has been sidelined. Dogri remains under-promoted compared to Kashmiri.
• People of Jammu feel their history, heroes, and way of life are treated as secondary.
5. Demographic & Security Realities
• Jammu has consistently rejected separatism and militancy.
• It has been a stable, nationalist region that has absorbed Kashmiri Pandit refugees and stood firm during decades of turmoil.
• Many feel that remaining tied to Valley politics exposes Jammu to the consequences of policies and narratives it never supported.
6. The Logic of Smaller States Works
India has successfully created states like Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana precisely because regions felt neglected within larger units.
Jammu has the population, land area, resources (hydropower, agriculture, tourism, industry), and administrative capacity to function as a full-fledged state.
