Scripture alone. Grace alone. Faith alone. Christ alone. To the glory of God alone. More than five centuries later, these truths still mark faithful gospel ministry. The Reformers called the church back to the Word, and the Word of God remains the foundation of faithful ministry today. Happy Reformation Day!

Presidential Message on Reformation Day: From the earliest days of our Republic, prayer and faith in Almighty God have stood as the foundation of our strength, the source of our unity, and the fount of our greatness. This Reformation Day, I send my best wishes to the countless Christians across our country commemorating the Protestant Reformation and its enduring message of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Five hundred years ago, William Tyndale — inspired by the work of Martin Luther — advanced the Protestant Reformation’s devotion to Holy Scripture through the publication of the first New Testament printed in English, shaping the language of the Bibles that would fortify the faith and resolve of America’s founding generation.  The Sacred Scriptures helped form the religious convictions that formed our young Nation’s founding ideals of God-given rights and individual liberty, a spiritual inheritance we honor as we continue to reflect on 250 glorious years of American Independence. The Bible remains a cornerstone of our Nation’s character and upholds our steadfast devotion to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Guided by an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, my Administration is working to restore the moral and religious foundations that have sustained our Republic for generations. As President, I will always support citizens of faith and defend their place in the public square, honoring the enduring role of our churches in strengthening families, serving communities, and preserving the core values that have anchored us across the centuries. As Christians across our country unite in faith and fellowship this Reformation Day, I send my heartfelt prayers for a meaningful celebration and encourage each of you to draw renewed strength from God’s Word as we carry forward the blessings of faith and freedom throughout our beloved Nation.

Scripture alone. Grace alone. Faith alone. Christ alone. To the glory of God alone. On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther called the church back to the Word of God. What the Reformers recovered, they confessed in five convictions: Sola Scriptura: Scripture is the final authority over the church, its traditions, and its leaders. (2 Timothy 3:16–17) Sola Gratia: Salvation is God’s undeserved gift, never a wage we earn. (Ephesians 2:8–9) Sola Fide: Sinners are declared righteous through faith in Christ, apart from works of the law. (Romans 1:17) Solus Christus: Christ is the only Mediator between God and man, and his finished work is enough. (1 Timothy 2:5) Soli Deo Gloria: All of salvation, and all of life, exists for the glory of God. (Romans 11:36) More than five centuries later, these truths still mark faithful gospel ministry. The Reformers called the church back to the Word, and the Word of God remains the foundation of faithful ministry today. Happy Reformation Day!

James said in the Scripture, “The tongue is like a fire, a tiny spark can set a whole forest ablaze.” When you feel yourself getting hot on the inside, that’s not the time to have a conversation. That’s the time to step out of the room. Walk around the block; get some fresh air. Don’t try to solve the issue right there. Be inspired by this message from Joel, "The Strength of Silence".

In 1982, Billy Graham preached from Martin Luther’s pulpit in Wittenberg, Germany—the birthplace of the Protestant Reformation. More than 500 years after Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of Wittenberg’s Castle Church, Graham stood in the same city proclaiming that God’s Word remains our ultimate authority. Like Luther before him, Billy Graham urged believers to return to Scripture and let the Bible speak directly to their hearts. His message is a reminder that God’s Word is still living and active today, calling us to read it, trust it and build our lives upon it.

Good Morning, Please join me for a daily scripture break. Revelation 22:13: "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Just imagine nothing and no one compares: God is incomprehensible. God is - The Alpha = the First = the beginning AND Omega = the Last = the End. Please review the foundational scriptures below that create an image that is beyond where we exist and what we can comprehend. 1. Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty.” 2. Revelation 21:6 - "He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life." 3. Genesis 1:1 - “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” 4. Colossians 1:18 - "And He(Jesus) is the head of the body, the church; He(Jesus) is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He(Jesus) might have the supremacy.” 5. John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” It’s interesting that God exists outside of the realm of time and all of these scriptures examine events in the realm of time (I guess because that is where we exist for the moment).  Before God the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit created the heavens and earth (Genesis 1:1-2); they existed outside the realm of time.  We have no reference we can turn to and compare because we have never existed outside of time.  It is fun to think about though.  Defining God’s existence is beyond His creation’s comprehension but certainly not beyond our adoration for Who He is. Praise His Holy Name! Please take a moment and pray II Chronicles 7:14 for our nation. Thank you to all of you who have prayed for our nation - not only for ourselves but for future generations. Have a blessed weekend. Peace and be prepared.

We can know Scripture, defend doctrine, and speak eloquently about Christ, yet remain unchanged by Him. Saint Paisios reminds us that the most powerful witness is a life transformed through repentance, humility, prayer, and love. This is the heart of the Orthodox Christian life. Not merely knowing about Christ, but participating in His divine life through the lifelong journey and through the stages of purification, illumination, and theosis.

Good Saturday evening, friends! 🌅 “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38 (NIV)🙏 As another Saturday comes to a close, I hope you'll take a little time to slow down, quiet your thoughts, and reflect on the goodness of God. There's something so peaceful about watching water flow gently over the rocks in a stream. It doesn't rush because someone tells it to hurry. It simply continues on its way, bringing life and refreshment wherever it flows. And tonight, that beautiful picture reminds me of the words Jesus spoke about living water. “Rivers of living water will flow from within them.” What a wonderful promise. Jesus wasn't talking about an ordinary river or stream. In the following verse, John explains that He was speaking about the Holy Spirit, whom those who believed in Him would receive. Think about what that means for us. God doesn't simply offer us a little encouragement when life gets difficult. Through His Spirit, He gives us a source of strength, comfort, guidance, and hope that comes from something far greater than ourselves. And there are certainly times when we need that strength. Life has a way of wearing us down. Some weeks seem to bring one problem after another. We worry about our health, our families, our finances, and situations that are completely beyond our control. Sometimes we're so busy taking care of everyone else that we forget how tired we've become ourselves. And sometimes, even when everything looks fine on the outside, our hearts are quietly carrying burdens that nobody else can see. But here's what I want you to remember tonight: You don't have to find the strength for every tomorrow before you go to bed tonight. God knows what you're facing. He knows the questions you haven't found answers to, the prayers you've whispered, and the worries that seem to follow you into the quiet hours. And He hasn't left you to figure everything out on your own. The Holy Spirit is God's presence with His people, helping us, guiding us, and reminding us of the truth of His Word. When we feel weak, we can turn to Him for strength. When our thoughts are troubled, we can ask Him for peace. When we don't know which direction to take, we can pray for wisdom and guidance. And when our hearts feel empty, we can remember that the living water Jesus spoke about isn't something the world can give us or take away. It comes from Him. I think one of the hardest lessons in life is learning that we don't have to control everything. We can make plans, work hard, do our best, and still find ourselves facing circumstances we never expected. But faith teaches us to trust God even when we can't see how everything is going to work out. It reminds us that we can be at peace without having every answer. And sometimes that peace begins with something as simple as sitting quietly, opening our Bible, and saying, “Lord, I need You.” Maybe tonight you're feeling thankful after a good day. Maybe you've enjoyed time with family, finished some things around the house, or simply appreciated a little rest. Or perhaps this has been a difficult Saturday. Maybe you're hurting physically, missing someone you love, worrying about a child, or trying to make a decision that weighs heavily on your heart. Whatever kind of day you've had, the invitation from Jesus is the same. Come to Him. Believe in Him. Trust Him. His love hasn't changed because your circumstances have. His presence hasn't disappeared because you're tired. And His promises haven't failed because you're still waiting for an answer. As we prepare to welcome a new month, I hope we'll remember that the same God who carried us through October will be with us through every day of November. We may not know what the coming weeks will bring, but we know Who holds our future. And that's a beautiful reason to rest tonight with a grateful heart. ❤️ Let's pray: 🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing us through another day and for the gift of Your unfailing love. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your promise of living water and for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank You for never leaving us to face life's struggles alone. Even when we feel weary, discouraged, or uncertain, Your presence remains with us. Father, tonight I ask You to bring peace to every troubled heart. For those who are sick or struggling with chronic pain, please bring healing, comfort, and renewed strength. For those who are grieving, wrap Your loving arms around them. Ease the loneliness of their loss and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. Lord, I pray for parents who are worried about their children, families facing difficult circumstances, and those who are carrying financial burdens or uncertainty about the future. Give them wisdom for the decisions ahead, patience during the waiting, and faith to trust You even when the answers aren't clear. Bless the caregivers who have spent another day putting someone else's needs before their own. Renew their strength and grant them moments of rest. Father, remember those who feel forgotten, those who are lonely, and those who are struggling silently. Let them experience Your love in a special way tonight. We also lift up our military service members, first responders, and everyone working to protect and care for others. Watch over them and bring comfort to their families. As October comes to a close and November begins, help us release the worries and disappointments of the past month. Teach us to carry forward the lessons we've learned, the blessings we've received, and the hope we have in You. Fill our hearts with Your peace, our minds with Your truth, and our lives with the love that comes from knowing Jesus Christ. And Lord, as we lay down to rest tonight, quiet the thoughts that trouble us. Help us surrender the things we cannot control and trust You with everything tomorrow may bring. Thank You for being our refuge, our strength, and the source of living water that never runs dry. In Jesus name, Amen. 🙏 Friends, as you close out this Saturday evening, remember that you don't have to carry every worry into tomorrow. Give God what you cannot change. Thank Him for what He has brought you through. And trust Him for what lies ahead. The world may leave us feeling drained, but Jesus offers living water that refreshes the soul. May your evening be peaceful, your rest be sweet, and your heart be filled with the quiet assurance that God is always near. And as we welcome November, may we do so with grateful hearts and renewed faith in the One who never changes. ❤️ Peace and grace to you. See you in the morning for coffee. ☕
