Bro took hose clamps, 12awg wire, and some heat shrink.
Internet works.
Although, the angry face of the On-Call Outside Plant tech who just spent three hours chasing down the HAMMERED noise floor he provided is probably hilarious.
Side note (Termination is actually a 75 ohm resistor that shorts the center conductor to ground. And unterminated isn't a death knell unless a lot of the center conductor is exposed. It also depends on the type of coax, where it its located, and how many passive devices its behind. TLDR: it all depends.)

//BLUF: BOMB THREATS CONTINUE TO PLAGUE COMMERCIAL AVIATION IN EUROPE, NO THREATS DEEMED VIABLE. PRESIDENT OF PARAGUAY RESIGNS AFTER BANKING COLLAPSE THIS MORNING, DUE TO HIS TIES TO BANK'S LEADERSHIP.//
-----BEGIN TEARLINE-----
-International Events-
Europe: This morning bomb threats onboard commercial aircraft throughout the continent continued. Over a dozen flights were diverted and evacuated due to these threats, which caused mass delays throughout the region. None of the threats were determined to be credible following security checks.
Analyst Comment: This morning's threat-spree is the second such incident this week. Malign actors know that bomb threats are cheap...every claim has to be investigated, wasting time and resources while authorities do their due diligence to clear the threats. Sending in a bunch of threats all at once can heavily affect the global flight schedules for the day, as many flights getting diverted at once amplifies the effect for malign actors.
Paraguay: Overnight, a major banking collapse resulted in pandemonium throughout the nation. Ueno Bank, one of the largest banks in the country, collapsed this morning, leaving customers without access to their funds. A banking run was attempted this morning as customers rushed to pull their money out of ATMs or transfer their funds elsewhere, but most customers report their funds being frozen and unable to withdraw. A total of eight banking executives have been arrested, and many investigations are currently underway. This afternoon President Santiago Peña resigned and stepped down from office, due to his connections and previous business partnership with the owners of the now-collapsed Ueno Bank.
Analyst Comment: The cause of this bank's collapse is fairly standard: bad investments resulted in them simply not having enough money to cover their losses, and their solvency ratio fell below the 50% legal limit. This situation is not unheard of in the third world, however this collapse has the potential to become a wider political issue as Ueno Bank's collapse has already led to the resignation of the President. Similarly, the head of Paraguay's Central Bank, previously was the President of Ueno back in 2023, so this is not the case of a small fly-by-night bank collapsing...this scandal has the potential to tank the Paraguayan economy. More details are expected in due time, as the scandal develops.
-HomeFront-
Iowa: This morning a shooting was reported at a post office in Des Moines, which resulted in multiple casualties. Shortly before lunch today, one gunman began shooting in the vicinity of the front entrance to the post office on Second Avenue, which resulted in the wounding of three people. Nearby police responded immediately, and the shooter was detained.
Analyst Comment: The details of this shooting are very minimal at the moment. Right now it's not clear as to if this was a deliberate targeting effort, or more of a routine criminal/domestic situation. The shooter's identity and motive have not yet been disclosed.
Washington D.C. - This afternoon Harmeet Dhillon announced her intent to resign her position of DoJ Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights. AG Blanche confirmed that he accepted her resignation, though her replacement has not yet been announced.

Analyst Comment: Around the world, the cyber realm continues to cause headaches following the exposure of major cybersecurity vulnerabilities over the past few weeks, coupled with the intensification of the war in Europe raising incentives on all sides to carry out cyberattacks. So far, most of the incidents reported since this can was peeled open are hard to attribute to one cause or class of malign actor. Most European nations are pointing the finger at Russia for many cyber incidents, which would be fair enough in a broad sense, except for the fact that many of the breaches this week have been due to security practices so poor that a smart child with ChatGPT could do it. Many of the refrigerator hacks have been due to the default passwords for microcontrollers being left in place, or otherwise offering unsecured access to the internet.
Nevertheless, suspicions are present that these low-level, more nuisance-driven attacks are indeed being conducted by nationstates as either a warning or as probing efforts to test defenses and find other vulnerabilities. What the truth is will probably never be known for sure, but the end result for most people is the same...delayed flights, data breaches, PII leaks, and more frustrations on the cyber front for the time being.

Introducing Zero Wire: a public vulnerability intelligence feed on @CloudflareRadar, bringing the clarity of a news wire service to critical security developments.
THIS IS A F*CKING GOLDMINE...MOST PEOPLE ARE STILL TRADING CRYPTO MANUALLY WHILE YOU CAN BUILD A GROK BOT THAT SCANS NEW TOKENS, FINDS TRADING OPPORTUNITIES AND MANAGES EXECUTION AUTOMATICALLY.
And you don't need to build the entire trading system from scratch.
Here are 10 GitHub repos to build your own AI crypto trading system:
01 / → Connect Python tools to Solana accounts, retrieve blockchain data and submit transactions.
02 / Raydium SDK V2 → Read liquidity pools, retrieve market data and build swap transactions.
03 / Orca Whirlpools → Interact with concentrated liquidity pools, retrieve pool data and prepare swaps.
04 / Jupiter Python SDK → Fetch swap quotes, compare execution routes and interact with Jupiter's swap aggregator.
05 / Helius SDK → Access blockchain data, monitor on-chain activity and retrieve transaction information through Solana RPC.
06 / Solders → Handle wallet keys, transaction construction, signing and serialization through Python.
07 / VectorBT → Backtest trading strategies against historical data, including fees, trade outcomes and drawdowns.
08 / DuckDB → Store market snapshots, token data and execution records so you can reconstruct every trading decision.
09 / QuantStats → Generate performance reports covering returns, volatility, drawdowns and losing periods.
10 / TradingView Lightweight Charts → Build a dashboard displaying live prices, entries, exits and trade history.
Wire the tools into Grok Bot through scripts, APIs or MCP.
Let the agent scan and filter opportunities while your execution service verifies liquidity, balances, quote freshness and slippage before signing transactions.
Start small. Backtest first. Verify every execution.
SCAN → FILTER → EXECUTE → TRACK.

this is f*cking insane. you have been googling other people's thinking for 20 years, karpathy's one 5 minute setup gives you a google that only searches your own, and you have never once installed it
andrej karpathy pulled 16M views on one idea: stop using AI to write code, use it to build a second brain
every article you read, every podcast you heard, every meeting you took, every dm thread you had, every tweet you drafted, all of it searchable in one line forever
the people running it today do not open chatgpt anymore. they open their own search bar. and their search bar has 11 years of their own thinking in it
the stack:
→ brew install obsidian, mkdir ~/vault, cd ~/vault
→ open claude code in that folder, type "init CLAUDE.md as the rules, /raw for sources, /wiki for your pages"
→ drop any file into /raw (transcript, pdf, screenshot, meeting notes). type one word: ingest
→ claude writes a wiki page, links it to 5 existing ones, updates CLAUDE.md with any new pattern it caught about how you think
→ never open a blank chat again. every question goes through the vault. every answer cites your own sources with dates and links
5 minutes to wire. runs forever on the laptop already in front of you
the alpha most people miss:
> search your own vault in one line and the answer cites 5 of your own past notes with dates. google cites strangers. your vault cites you
> every ingest adds cross-links to 5 past pages automatically. after 90 days your vault answers questions you forgot you had
> CLAUDE.md learns how you argue, what you change your mind on, what you avoid saying. after month 3 it drafts posts in your voice better than you can at 2am
> flip two flags and it runs on local llama. zero API bill, zero vendor lock, your thinking never leaves the box
> compounds for 10 years. after year 3 your vault knows more about what you believe than you do. year 5 and recruiters start asking you to publish parts of it
the ugly part most will scroll past:
your coworker started this on a saturday in february
by august his tweets landed 4x your engagement on the exact same topics
by october his first draft of any doc was already better than your third
the gap is one 5 minute install and 90 days of ingesting what you already consume for free

//BLUF: AMERICAN MIDTERM ELECTIONS RESULT IN MAJOR VICTORIES FOR DEMOCRATS. CYBERATTACKS CONTINUE AROUND EUROPE, GROWING IN SCALE AND IMPACT. WARTIME PREPARATIONS CONTINUE AROUND MIDDLE EAST.//
-----BEGIN TEARLINE-----
-International Events-
Europe: Throughout the continent, cyberattacks on critical infrastructure have continued. So far, a total of 11x nations have reported being impacted by cyberattacks targeting Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices such as internet connected refrigeration sensors. As of this morning, these vulnerabilities have expanded expanded beyond the initial impacts to supermarkets. Overnight, refrigerators at several blood banks in France were reportedly breached, with staff members at three different facilities taking emergency actions to save Fresh Whole Blood (FWB) units from being compromised.
Analyst Comment: Concerning the culprits of these attacks, no entity has been named. Romanian officials have offered up more details on the attacks in their country, stating that the attacks seemed amateurish in nature, and were probably not a nationstate actor. Considering the fallout of the PHPShell and other major cybersecurity incidents of the past few weeks, it's anyone's guess as to who's behind the recent wave of attacks.
-HomeFront-
Mississippi: This morning an explosion was reported at the Loveland Products plant in Greenville, which shut down the factory for some time. This facility is produces herbicides and fertilizers for agricultural purposes. The cause of the blast is not known, and the exact chemicals involved in the incident have not yet been disclosed. The fire was contained after a few hours, and the investigation continues.
USA: Around the nation, yesterday's midterm elections resulted in major gains for the Democrats, with most elections being a clean sweep in their favor. Vote counts are still being tallied but overnight estimates strongly indicate the Republicans lost the House and the Senate, with several key Governor spots flipping blue as well. In Washington, President Trump canceled most of his public appearances for the next week, though this afternoon he made some unplanned remarks at the site of the Ballroom construction project.
-----END TEARLINE-----
Analyst Comment: Now that the midterms are over, a major milestone is reached within the two major wars being fought overseas. Like it or not, the midterm election results were a major factor in planning the war in Iran, with the White House openly stating multiple times that the milestone of elections reflects a decision point. Now that the results are in, the situation can radically change. President Trump himself is no longer held back by the negative connotations in the polls, as the political situation can't get any worse now that the midterm damage is done. On the other hand, the massive defeat at the polls could cause a large strategic pivot away from the war to save his legacy.
Where this goes now is anyone's guess, but decisions made during a period of chaos often tend to not be the most well-thought out. Similarly, most assessments of the future really have to stretch to theorize what the potential courses of action might be, as the possibilities are extremely wide and varied. When stuck in such a situation, it is usually helpful to make decisions based on the tangible evidence that is certain.
In the case of what might happen in the next few days/weeks, it is certain that the United States has surged forces into the Middle East. Diplomats and their families have long been evacuated, and yesterday some districts in Israel opened up their public shelters amid high tensions in the region. The USS Theodore Roosevelt CSG is steaming for the Strait of Malacca, and the two carriers already on station are still cutting waves in the Arabian Sea.
On the diplomatic front, not much is known about whatever talks are taking place with Iran though intermediaries with the United States, but many Gulf states have sent diplomats to Tehran over the past week, probably to secure their own deals with Iran independently of the United States. Many different officials in many Arab nations have been told that the decision has already been made to return to the war, and that it's only a matter of time. Obviously hearsay among politicians is not something easily verifiable, but all Gulf States have been preparing for this possibility for weeks and since a lot of hardware is still heading into the region, military options are very much on the table.

After recently discovering an unsecured fence and detecting the odor of burnt plastic on CMS property, Freedom Division officers conducted an area check to determine whether a fire or other hazard was present. During their inspection, they were approached by a truck occupied by four individuals.
As officers approached the vehicle, they observed a comforter laid out in the bed of the truck with small copper wires poking out from under it with what appeared to be a cutting instrument on top.
During a probable cause search of the vehicle, officers located approximately $3,000 worth of AT&T copper wire that had been cut down, as well as climbing gear – ropes, a harness and shoe spikes.
The individuals were transported to the Freedom Division and interviewed by detectives. It was determined that the wire was cut down from a location outside of Charlotte and brought back to the incident location to be stripped and burned before it could be sold.
Ph Ren Y, Y Menh Nie, Vuh A and Son Nguyen were all arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Stolen Property, First Degree Trespassing and Felony Conspiracy.
Son Nguyen was also charged in relation to an additional copper theft incident.
Copper theft is a significant crime that extends far beyond the value of the stolen material. These incidents can cause power outages, damage critical infrastructure, disrupt essential services and require expensive repairs that ultimately impact residents, businesses and taxpayers alike.
Shoutout to our Freedom Division officers for their attention to detail and persistence in working to disrupt and prevent copper theft.

President Trump says it’s largely true that Republicans lost the midterms because of the Iran war but says he’d do it again:
“I think it’s largely true… If I had it to do again, I’d have to do it again… You can’t let Iran have a nuclear weapon.”
