Alright, I haven't really been talking publicly about my thoughts on AI, but I think it's time to give some input. I'm speaking about AI in Roblox specifically. Many of our developers have been utilizing AI for quite some time now, for programming specifically. And I really don't like the argument that people try to make that “AI kills creativity.” We're able to get features out faster than ever, we're able to add an extra layer of polish to our games that I could not have imagined us doing at any point considering the speed that's necessary for Roblox game development. I'm talking about small details in our games that just make it feel so much more polished; NPCs that have multiple dialogue options, more easter eggs, more satisfying effects, fewer bugs… …and most importantly, creating some game concepts that I could not have even imagined us ever making on Roblox EVER due to how long it would have taken us to develop them as an indie team, even though we've had these game ideas for years. At the same time, I understand why a lot of people don't like it. The majority of developers using AI on the platform are trying to use it as a “get-rich-quick”scheme and, for that reason, are pumping out the lowest-quality slop you've ever seen. And that's the sort of content that is so obviously AI that, of course, people don’t like it. The shitty builds, UI, icons & thumbnails are so terrible it’s obvious. I think the core of it is: AI has allowed more people to create games, so the gems on the platform are buried under countless amounts of slop made by people that are not artisans of game development. While those artisans are creating better, higher-quality work than ever before.

10 reasons .NET is better than Go Go is simpler than .NET. And for most business apps, it's still the wrong choice. I've built .NET apps for 13+ years. Here's an honest list from both sides: 10 reasons .NET is better than Go 1. Full web framework out of the box ↳ ASP .NET Core gives you DI, config, auth, validation and OpenAPI. In Go, you start with net/http and pick Gin, Echo or Chi. 2. EF Core ↳ Migrations, LINQ queries and change tracking in one package. In Go, you write SQL by hand or use GORM. 3. LINQ ↳ Filter, group and sort in one line. Go has no built-in Map or Filter, so you write for loops. 4. Clean error handling ↳ Throw an exception and handle it once in middleware. Go makes you write "if err != nil" after almost every call. 5. Mature generics ↳ C# has had generics since 2005. Go added them in 2022, and they still can't be used on methods. 6. Rich type system ↳ Enums, records and pattern matching. Go has no real enums, only constants with iota. 7. Null safety in the compiler ↳ Nullable reference types catch null bugs at build time. In Go, a nil pointer crashes your app at runtime. 8. Business libraries ↳ .NET has hundreds of packages (free and paid) for any kind of problems. Go has fewer ready-made options here. 9. Easier hiring ↳ There are far more C# developers on the market than Go developers. 10. One language for every app ↳ Web, desktop, Cloud, AI, IoT, iOS, Android and games with Unity. All in C#. --- 👉 5 reasons Go is better than .NET 1. Tiny language ↳ Go has 25 keywords. A new developer can read any Go codebase in a week. 2. Goroutines ↳ Start thousands of tasks with one word: go. No async/await in every method. 3. Single binary ↳ One file with no runtime to install. Your Docker image can be a few MB. 4. Fast compile times ↳ Big Go projects build in seconds. 5. Low memory use ↳ A small Go service often runs in 10-20 MB of RAM. 📌 Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform are written in Go. Google built Go for infrastructure and network services. → Go rules infrastructure: CLIs, proxies, Kubernetes tools → .NET rules business apps: complex domains, data and workflows Pick Go when you build infra tools, CLIs or small, fast network services. Pick .NET when you build business apps with complex logic and lots of data. Which would you pick for your next backend: .NET or Go? —— ➕ Follow me to improve your .NET and Architecture Skills

Formation Bio just announced a $600M fund aimed at drug development - arguably the most meaningful bottleneck in bringing new medicines to patients. Few large pharma companies have been built in the past century. Even fewer have been founder-led. AI is making drug discovery dramatically more productive, but promising drugs still compete for limited capital, experienced teams, and clinical development resources. The Drug Development Accelerator Fund pairs dedicated capital with Formation Bio’s drug developers and AI platform to advance a larger portfolio of drugs toward patients. Congrats @BenjamineYLiu, @lintaho, and the @formationbio team!

Today we’re announcing the $600M Formation Bio Drug Development Accelerator Fund. @lintaho and I started @FormationBio because we believed the biggest bottleneck in bringing new medicines to patients wasn’t drug discovery, but drug development. As AI dramatically accelerates discovery, that bottleneck is only becoming more acute. Without the capital and capacity to advance promising drugs through clinical trials, much of that progress won’t translate into medicines for patients. Our new Fund brings together dedicated capital, drug development expertise, and AI-powered development capabilities to acquire promising drugs and advance them through the clinic.
