Introducing a new open-source #Swift package I've been working on for 8 months! Say hello 👋 to #ErrorKit, a set of APIs that simplify #ErrorHandling in Swift. Built to be actually helpful. And boy have I documented it! 💯 Please give it a ⭐️ on GitHub:

Java tip 💡: Try to catch the exceptions at the right level for meaningful context handling . Too early: you might not have the right context to handle them properly. Too late: you could miss the source of the problem. #Java #ErrorHandling

Which variant do you prefer for #ErrorHandling in #Swift? #Throwing functions or functions returning a #Result type? Please comment why so we can all learn form each other! 🙏 I’m unhappy with throws currently, considering to migrate to Result for the explicitly typed errors.😍

Typed throws in Swift 6 is a game-changer, but most devs avoid it because of "nesting hell." My new article shows how a simple protocol turns it from complexity nightmare into your most powerful debugging ally. Check it out! 👇 #Swift #ErrorHandling

Java Tip 💡: Understand the difference between checked and unchecked exceptions. ✅ Checked Exceptions must be caught or declared. ⏹️ Unchecked Exceptions represent unrecoverable errors and there's no need to declare them #Java #ErrorHandling

Ever wrote a custom error type in Swift & conformed to ‘Error’? Don’t: Writing a ‘localizedDescription’ for it won’t work. ❌ Conform to ‘LocalizedError’ instead (even if not localized) & provide an ‘errorDescription’! ✅ Avoid this common pitfall in #ErrorHandling. #SwiftTips
