This. You can clearly see when people don’t care and it’s unfortunately very common.

Caring is the moat, you should feel visceral pain when things are bad or broken and stop at nothing to fix them

RT @penberg: Assuming AI models are smart enough that you can skip memory-safe languages is total opposite to how I build with AI. The safe assumption is that coding agents will make mistakes, so your job is to build multiple layers of verification to catch them.

@penberg And look at the majority of the c/c++ security issues reported - it’s all dumb shit, like uninitialised memory or buffer overflows, you really think even a dumb AI model won’t catch those immediately before you even hit the commit button?

People keep asking me about my setup, which skills I use, which plugins I have installed, and all that. I have none, I just design everything in my head or paper and speak through it.

I’ve gotten used to talking through an entire end-to-end system design in 10–15 minutes of continuous speaking. Every additional skill or integration risks introducing another opportunity for the agent to get things wrong.

Over the past few years, I've often wondered what's left for us when AI can handle most of the execution. I decided to explore that question by putting my thoughts into writing.

It took me a while, and many drafts of this article, to fully work through my thoughts. Sometimes I wish that things weren't moving so fast.

Every now and then, I stop and think about how lucky I am to work alongside people whose work I used to study back in high school and university. It still feels like an unreal privilege.

Working on a replication engine for Postgres means discovering 20 new Postgres features a day and crying about it.

The amount of sophistication behind every destination in Supabase Pipelines never ceases to amaze me. It's like writing a completely new system every time.

Took me 5 minutes to realize this is by far the best-designed and fastest personal agent on the market. Absolute masterclass from the team!

RT @Aly_Elazab: SF treated me very well this week. Definitely felt like the right place to be for someone passionate about AI and tech products. To top it off I got the chance to make new, kind and super smart friends. It was a pleasure meeting you all!💚 @Safinazelhadry and of course thanks for introducing us all legend🫶🏼

Woke up at 3 AM, couldn't fall back asleep because of jet lag, so naturally the first thing I did was reverse engineer Postgres relcache. I'm shocked by how badly I misunderstood how Postgres actually decodes rows.
