What @60Minutes didn’t tell you about the “immigration attorney” featured in its deportation story: She openly promotes socialism, wants ICE abolished, and has already condemned: “President Trump’s racist mass deportation agenda.” Meet Meredyth Yoon—the activist whose politics CBS left out. Her bio: “prison and border abolitionist.” Her own post: “Moreover, ICE must be destroyed.” On the border wall: “We will tear down this wretched wall and bring our loved ones home from the other side!” The Party for Socialism and Liberation’s Atlanta chapter advertised her as a speaker at its October 2025 People’s Congress. And the money: her employer, Asian Americans Advancing Justice–Atlanta, received $150,000 from George Soros’s Foundation to Promote Open Society in 2021.

“They sent him to Ghana, with full knowledge that Ghana is systematically deporting refugees back to the very countries they fled,” says immigration attorney Meredyth Yoon. 60 Minutes obtained the names of all the people on a flight that left Texas on July 30th and took deportees to three countries in Africa, including Ghana. Of the 19 deportees 60 Minutes reached who were sent to Ghana, 17 say they were then transported against their will to countries U.S. immigration judges ruled they should not be returned to. Moussa Diawara was one of them. The Department of Homeland Security told 60 Minutes that Ghana had provided the U.S. with “diplomatic assurances for [Diawara’s] safety.” Yoon says the U.S. government was warned about Ghana’s conduct in a lawsuit last year. Despite this, the U.S. sent 10 more flights to Ghana, which Yoon believes is a violation of international law.

🚨 Indivisible, a major left-wing organizing group, wants to go after more than Trump. His cabinet. His donors. Even “mid-level staffers.” They’re calling for “multi-front accountability” through “every available vehicle,” including “state tools.”

Anne Arundel County, Maryland, explicitly gives undocumented households priority for taxpayer-funded housing assistance covering rent, utility bills, security deposits and moving costs. The county’s published rules identify priority households as including: “those with undocumented or mixed immigration/citizenship status.” That language appears directly on the county government’s application page. Other priority categories include homelessness, eviction proceedings and disconnected utilities. The Community Schools Rental Assistance Program can pay for: • Overdue rent. • Electricity, gas, water and internet bills. • Security deposits and first month’s rent. • Moving expenses. • Certain late fees and eviction-related court fees. Maryland’s official FAQ says proof of citizenship is not required. Eligible households can receive repeat assistance, including up to three months of future rent or utilities at a time, with an overall maximum of 15 months. Governor Wes Moore’s office says the statewide program’s FY2027 budget increased from $5 million to $11 MILLION.

EXC: Obama campaign veterans are recruiting lawyers to help get election posts TAKEN DOWN before the midterms. The organization is Voter Protection Corps. Its recruitment notice spells out the attorneys’ role: “lending legal credibility to formal removal requests.” Volunteers flag election content. Attorneys review it and help prepare requests for platforms to remove it. They already tested the process. VPC’s report describes a 2025 operation with platform-specific removal templates and an attorney available to “add his name to post removal requests.” Now the group wants social-media monitoring treated as: “core election infrastructure.” Alongside it: permanent networks of trusted messengers and “prebunking” campaigns designed to reach voters BEFORE they encounter claims the organization expects to challenge. The people behind the operation include founder Quentin Palfrey, who led voter-protection work for Obama’s 2008 Ohio campaign, and strategist Tim Karpoff, an Obama campaign and administration veteran. Recruitment partners include Lawyers for Good Government and We The Action. The latter operates within Civic Nation, whose board is chaired by Valerie Jarrett. The money trail includes a $341,000 grant from Sixteen Thirty Fund to VPC’s advocacy arm in 2020 and a separate $50,000 grant from New Venture Fund to its foundation in 2024. Those filings do not identify the current monitoring program as the grants’ purpose. VPC calls its voter-protection work nonpartisan. Its documents nevertheless establish a concrete operation to monitor election speech, organize responses and enlist lawyers in seeking removals. And the plan extends beyond November: year-round monitoring capacity, with preparations for 2028 beginning after the 2026 results.

A left-wing 2026 midterm playbook explicitly invokes Serbia and Brazil as precedents for mass street mobilization. Then tells American readers: “We may have to do that here.” Freedom Trainers’ published plan lays out a sequence: → Organize voters. → Mobilize during ballot counting. → Escalate to economic noncooperation if election results* are not honored. The final stage proposes demonstrations at state capitals and locations where disruption can create economic pressure. It points readers toward Indivisible and May Day Strong, quoting the latter’s slogan: “No work. No school. No shopping.” Indivisible, in turn, directs its own supporters to Freedom Trainers’ election-scenario workbook and names ballot seizures or refusal to seat winners as potential triggers for large-scale protests.

REVEALED: Millions in California government funding was went to a farm-relief program that explicitly prioritizes “BIPOC, immigrant, and undocumented farmers.” The California Farmer Relief Fund and its operator, Community Alliance with Family Farmers, says it distributed $3.08 million in state CUSP grants through the fund between 2022 and 2025. Those grants offered up to $20,000 for expenses including wells, utility bills, irrigation upgrades and crop losses.

A former CIA officer coauthored a report urging social media companies to reduce your account’s reach based on your connections to OTHER accounts. Yaël Eisenstat, who also ran Facebook’s elections integrity operations for political ads, coauthored the June 2026 report recommending: “Penalizing the distribution of accounts connected to users or pages which repeatedly share violative or borderline content” The next line specifically singles out election and civic content. The proposed penalty extends to connected accounts—without specifying that those accounts must themselves have broken a rule. Who helped develop this blueprint? UNC professor Daniel Kreiss and former Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer are listed as contributors. There’s also a recommendation to slow posts spreading beyond an account’s network until they can be reviewed. Ahead of the 2026 midterms: throttle viral posts, penalize connected accounts, and extend enforcement to content platforms consider “borderline.”

A network of TWELVE Illinois school districts is recruiting teachers from overseas to fill taxpayer-funded jobs teaching American children. Decatur names Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Kenya, Guyana and the Philippines among its recruitment countries. Peoria Public Schools sponsors the J-1 visas. With extensions, teachers can remain in U.S. classrooms for up to FIVE YEARS. An April government document touts 282 international teachers—and says foreign recruits filled 116 vacancies in Peoria alone over five years. Private recruiters charge for access to this pipeline, too: We Dare To Teach’s published Peoria partnership policy lists a $3,000 first-year fee paid by participating teachers. Decatur says the recruits receive the same contract and benefits as existing teachers.

REVEALED: Minnesota employers are recruiting nurses from KENYA—with green-card sponsorship, immigration costs covered and temporary housing. Their plans include placing nurses together in rural communities. The industry association helping expand the operation has a foundation awarded $1.68 MILLION in taxpayer grants for immigrant and refugee workforce programs. Global Care Recruiters co-founder Traci Larson explained the rural strategy: “we can’t place just one Kenyan nurse way out here in Marshall, MN.” Her recommendation: “We should probably look at a few [nurses].” The groundwork included a delegation to Kenya led by Democratic state Rep. Mohamud Noor. He helped establish a Nairobi examination center so Kenyan nurses could more easily take the licensing exam required for American nursing jobs. Minnesota providers visited recruitment agencies and nursing schools. Their stated purpose included: “represent Minnesota as a state to welcome diasporan nurses warmly” Four senior-care employers subsequently established Global Care Recruiters. By September, it reported more than 60 nurses in the pipeline and over 100 candidates undergoing legal review and employer interviews. Its website tells recruits: “Global Care Recruiters covers the cost of your immigration process—there are no fees for you to pay.” No repayment required. Partner employers provide temporary housing. LeadingAge Minnesota’s business subsidiary is helping run and expand the operation. Meanwhile, the association’s foundation received the taxpayer grants to build immigrant-worker recruitment and support resources—including a 64-page employer guide, translation devices, regional job fairs and a map connecting workers and families with more than 250 support organizations. It calls this: “practical infrastructure—not simply one-time programming” The recruiter’s ambitions extend beyond nurses to nursing assistants, culinary workers, dietitians and therapists—with potential expansion into other states and source countries. Larson’s own words: “why just Kenya?”

EXCLUSIVE: He led USCIS field operations under Biden. Now a Chinese immigration firm is selling clients access to his expertise. Michael Valverde entered an exclusive China advisory agreement with Beijing-based Yingzhong Overseas Consulting. The company’s pitch, translated from Chinese: “Incorporate immigration officers’ thinking into case preparation, improving the likelihood of approval from the outset.” A promotional photo shows Valverde beside a presentation referencing “internal USCIS review standards” during a discussion of immigration-status compliance and work authorization. The firm advertises private case pre-reviews, difficult-case consultations, and monthly internal training for its American and Chinese teams. Valverde’s own consulting website offers: “insider policy, operational knowledge, and experience that I gained during my 28-year career” The China connection goes further. Yingzhong’s founder participated in a migration-policy forum co-organized by CUSEF—which a U.S. congressional commission describes as “united front-linked.” House China committee chairman John Moolenaar has characterized CUSEF as an instrument of CCP political warfare aimed at influencing Americans’ views of Beijing.

NEW: The French party urging people into the streets on October 17 has a “special relationship” with NYC-DSA. That’s NYC-DSA’s own description. The party: La France Insoumise. Its leader, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, appeared at an April 2025 NYC-DSA event alongside Jamaal Bowman and Tiffany Cabán—and endorsed Zohran Mamdani for mayor. Then, on October 15, 2026, LFI explicitly called for participation in France’s protests, circulated a map of more than 1,000 mobilizations, and announced its elected officials would be on the ground. NYC-DSA described their shared mission as “our collective task to build the left and fight the right.”
