RT @adityaag: This is a LP letter that we recently wrote with our lessons on spotting talent from a decade of investing at the frontier. The most common thing you hear about early stage investing is that "It is 90% about the founder". We agree but have always been unsatisfied by the lack of falsifiability, specificity, and repeatability of that statement. What are the dimensions of excellence? How do they translate into companies? It was a pleasure to collaborate with @gopalkraman on this.

RT @spc: We are living through a unique period of extreme technological compression. The impossible is now possible. The time to be unapologetically maximalist is now. Come work with us.
    Aditya Agarwal @adityaag
At @spc, we are trying to reconcile two things: 1. We have never seen technological progress this rapid or fundamental. Nothing seems impossible. 2. Capital is flowing to consensus teams, in consensus markets, and with consensus terms. So we’re running a new experiment: $200K, uncapped, to a handful of unapologetically maximalist thinkers who want to try a truly out-there idea.

RT @spc: We hosted @Waymo co-CEO @dmitri_dolgov in a Waymo. It was only right. Fully autonomous conversation with @adityaag out now.
    Aditya Agarwal @adityaag
"The problem you're working on right now is always the hardest. But also the most interesting." @Dmitri_Dolgov has spent his career on a problem most people said would take 5 years. It's been almost 20. Stanford DARPA team. Founding member of Google's self-driving project. Co-CEO of @Waymo. When he started, self-driving was still an open question. The jump from making it work to making it safe enough for the real world felt enormous. At @SPC, he talked to me and @rsanghvi about the 2009 milestones that had nothing to do with building a product. The goal was to learn. Full conversation at SPC out now. (00:32) The First Time Waymo Felt Real (03:39) How a Fleet of Waymos Coordinates (07:47 How People Change the Way They Travel With Waymo (12:51) How Waymo Started: Understanding the Problem Before Building a Product (14:58) Inside Waymo’s AI System: Driver, Simulator, and Critic (22:00) How Waymo Adopts New AI Breakthroughs Without Breaking the Product (27:02) Why the Last 1% of Autonomous Driving Is So Hard (25:16) Where Startups Should Build in Physical AI (44:30) Can the Waymo Driver Become a General Physical AI Agent?

RT @spc: "Epistemic humility and audacious courage." The world is moving fast enough that there's a lot you don't know yet. The job is to go learn it and act anyway. That's the ask of the Founder Fellowship: maximal ambition, and intensity with intent. Welcome, F26 Founder Fellows!

RT @evantana: AI is creating a Jevons paradox of ambition. The easier it gets to build, the more ambitious the things the best people decide to build. Feels like we’re watching this happen in real time at @spc .
