Two protocol upgrades this month cut what Sui charges on top of gas:
- v138 (Oct 9): updating or deleting an object now keeps 99.99% of its storage deposit, up from 99%
- v139 (Oct 23): the charge for loading each package a transaction touches fell 99%
Here's what changed 🧵
What that changes in your app:
- Keep state onchain and update it often. Rewrites keep 99.99% of the deposit
- Calling several packages in one PTB now adds little to the fee
- Budget agents per action: 97% of sampled txs now pay only the 0.0001 $SUI floor
A simple transfer saves a little over 82%, almost all of it from April's cut. The October upgrades pay off most for code that acts constantly: agents, market makers, perps.
Dry-run your own calls and compare with a pre-Oct 9 tx:
RT @ankr: The @SuiNetwork is fully on gRPC now. If any of your stack still routes through JSON-RPC, move it to Ankr for high-performance gRPC with low latency at any volume. Plus:

PAS in production.
Tokenized gold from @AlphaTokenHQ is minted on Sui with the Permissioned Asset Standard, and @realtbook rebuilt its vault platform on it.
Building a regulated asset? PAS checks every transfer against the issuer's Policy.

We think people should be paying more attention to gold.

An agent that trades shouldn't need to sign its own swaps.
The Cetus Skills aggregator routes across Sui DEXs and returns an unsigned transaction. The agent picks the route, your signer approves it.

Cetus🐳@CetusProtocol
Cetus is embracing the AI era. 🌊🐳
With Cetus Skills, AI agents can interact directly with our infrastructure and tap into different capabilities across swaps, liquidity, and on-chain execution for their own use cases.
Around it, a wider AI-native network is starting to form across Sui — agent-ready wallet adapters, intent-based interfaces, AI strategies, data analytics, and other experiments are all connecting with #Cetus infra in different ways.
These pieces may look separate today, but together they’re weaving a much more open and composable network for the agentic era.
Cetus will keep exploring how our liquidity and trading infrastructure can become easier for both humans and AI agents to access, combine, and build on.

I hear crazy ideas that even I couldn't previously comprehend why they are technically possible, and oh boy... they are!
One of those moments you feel proud about humanity's evolution. No way current AI could follow our talks today, a biological green 🧠 substance dance.

RT @AsymptoticTech: Frontier models can now read formal specs. Publish ours, and every attacker starts from our analysis instead of from the code.
So we keep them private. The code stays on-chain for anyone to audit; protocol teams we work with see everything.
@SuiDevelopers fly safe!
RT @osodotsol: Sui’s 40.6M TPS benchmark holds up onchain.
But inspect 0x9498...7eb1: the most revealing number isn't 40,614,180.
It’s 11,502 and the 593 public tunnels that never sent a single update.
A forensic teardown of what Sui Tunnels measured: 🧵👇
One agent/strategy is a single point of failure.
A trading desk is a swarm: risk, macro, quant, each seat working at once.
You need parallel execution with per-object ordering: objects on Sui, agent memory on Walrus.
