When a credential leaks, can you quickly find every copy and rotate it without breaking production? As more tools and agents need access, credentials can spread and make exposure harder to contain. Our latest blog shares three ways to reduce credential exposure:

RT @1PasswordCEO: As agents get more advanced and pervasive, the risk of exposed credentials can no longer be ignored. Recent security disclosures bring the risk into focus. We wrote a blog about reducing exposure.

RT @1Password: Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉 We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly. 1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials. The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords.. You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault. ➡️Learn more:

Auditors don't assess intent, they assess evidence. A closed offboarding ticket proves the process started. It doesn't prove the access came off. 1Password timestamps access removal, so deprovisioning is a dated record rather than an assumption.

How many of your deployed detections have you actually watched fire? A detection written for an attack technique that's never happened in your environment has no logs to test against, so it usually ships because it looks correct. We're closing that gap with AI-driven adversary emulation. Before a detection ships, an AI model matches it to a real attack technique. Our pipeline runs that technique in an isolated cloud environment using credentials pulled from 1Password Connect at runtime. In our latest article, we share how it works and where it still falls short. Read the post: #DetectionEngineering #AdversaryEmulation #AI #1Password

69% of enterprises have already deployed AI agents. 451 Research calls traditional identity and privileged access management "structurally inadequate" for governing them, and tells leaders to treat this as an architectural reset rather than a tooling upgrade. ➡️Read the full report here:

RT @SierraPlatform: As @btaylor just announced we’re publishing the first draft of Personal Agent Protocol, known as Poppy — and announcing 35 new design partners. With Poppy, customers decide what access to give their personal agents, and companies set parameters for what those agents can do. It’s built on open standards businesses already use, and designed to work through websites, APIs, and company agents. This is a starting point — we welcome feedback from companies, developers, and personal agent builders to help shape this new protocol. Read more here: or read the draft here:

On Tuesday, Sierra announced Personal Agent Protocol with Meta, Genesys, Instinct, Rocket, Shopify, Stripe, and Walmart. The response has been incredible and today we’re publishing the first draft of the protocol at and announcing 35 new design partners. As personal agents take on more, our goal is simple: consumers have choice and control, and companies know when they’re dealing with an agent and who it represents. This draft is a starting point. We’d love for companies, developers, and personal agent builders to read it, give feedback, and help us build an open standard together.

AI agents shouldn’t inherit standing access. For developers building agentic workflows, the access model needs to shift toward: 🔵 Just-in-time, just-enough access 🔵 Runtime authorization based on identity and context 🔵 Continuous monitoring and auditability 🔵 Automatic revocation when the task is complete @zkerravala, founder of ZK Research, sat down with Aashish Tripathi, VP of Product Strategy at @1Password to discuss what secure agent access should look like

We’re excited to announce 1Password for @NVIDIA OpenShell, a new integration that helps developers give AI agents access to the systems they need without exposing credentials in the agent’s context. Developers can connect 1Password Environments to OpenShell sandboxes, specify approved destinations, and set when that access expires. Agents can get useful work done, while developers and security teams stay in control of the credentials and the boundaries around them. 1Password for NVIDIA OpenShell is available now as a developer preview. ➡️Set up the integration here:
