In a separate case, Dennison Jay Antelope, 35, of Riverton, was sentenced to federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. RT @ATFHQ: Firearms tracing is a law enforcement technique to find the first purchaser of a recovered firearm. ATF tracing services can also help investigators uncover trafficking patterns. Last week, four defendants pleaded guilty to moving dozens of illegally obtained guns from New Hampshire through the Akwesasne Mohawk Indian Reservation and into Canada. Many of these guns were later recovered at Canadian crime scenes. This #HSTF case began with a firearms trace, a recovered gun in Montreal linked back to a New Hampshire purchaser, which ultimately revealed a sophisticated network moving firearms, narcotics, and humans across the U.S.-Canada border. This case underscores the power of firearms tracing and intelligence‑driven policing. ATF remains committed to disrupting trafficking routes, supporting our international partners, and protecting communities through strong investigative collaboration.
