Nyoni has been really bright here.

RT @ScouseFIFA: Szoboszlai has FINALLY been updated! #FC27

Araujo is partnering Van Dijk at CB, with Gomez at RB.

Please, please, just make sure to give him until 22 November.

Ready.

🚨 Understand Michael Carrick will be given the opportunity to turn things around at Manchester United.

Up the Reds. 🔴 Predictions tonight?

Iraola: “Every competition is important. I would love to win tomorrow and have the chance to win the competition but I know we have to play very well. “We are playing a team that isn't in Europe so for them this competition is very important. I have a lot of friends [Alonso and Arteta]. They are good coaches. Whatever happens as with Inigo [Perez] this week we will have some minutes to talk.”

Your #LFC starting XI to face @ChelseaFC:

Andoni Iraola has said that he is optimistic that Florian Wirtz will be fit for tomorrow’s game against Chelsea.

🥇 | @aadamp9: Jeremy Jacquet lives in Liverpool and spends a lot of his time with fellow youngsters including Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni, and those at the AXA Training Centre say he is mature and confident off the pitch, just like he is on the pitch.

Jamie Carragher on Alexander-Arnold: “I’d have him back. I think he made a big mistake leaving. But if something benefits Liverpool Football Club going forward, when you think of the problems Liverpool have at right-back… “Ronald Araújo has been fantastic, but we do have a problem in terms of the full-backs’ passing. We’ve definitely missed Trent’s creativity.”

🥇 | @aadamp9: Jeremy Jacquet is part of a quartet at Anfield, alongside Bradley Barcola, Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo, taking English lessons and like everything else, he is understood to be taking that in his stride.

🥇 | @JacobsBen and @alex_crook: Liverpool are interested in Alex Scott but have less urgency than Chelsea to sign a midfielder in January, with Chelsea ready to prepare an offer around Bournemouth’s £100m asking price.

Our predicted Liverpool XI to face @ChelseaFC later: 🇬🇪 Mamardashvili 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Gomez 🇺🇾 Araujo 🇳🇱 Van Dijk 🇬🇷 Tsimikas 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Nyoni 🇦🇷 Mac Allister 🇳🇱 Gravenberch 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Ngumoha 🇸🇪 Isak 🇫🇷 Barcola

81 G/As in 65 games. What a footballer. Can't not be happy for Harry Kane.

Van Dijk: “When you see someone like Ronald [Araujo] making challenges, being aggressive at the right times, everyone responds and that energy can really help the team going forward.”

Congratulations to Harry Kane. Well deserved 👏 👏 👏

Former Liverpool forward and cult hero, Dirk Kuyt, has been appointed as interim manager of Fenerbahce. Liverpool face the Turkish side away from home in the Champions League next week. See you soon, Dirk 👋

⚽️ Nottingham Forest ⚽️ ⚽️ Ipswich ⚽️ Bournemouth ⚽️ Brentford ⚽️ Brighton With 6 goals already this season, Alexander Isak will finish the season with __ goals in all competitions. Fill in the blank.

🚨 | BREAKING: @ismaeelmahmoudd: Liverpool are preparing a formal offer to extend Alexis Mac Allister’s contract, despite reports suggesting they have no current plans to do so. Andoni Iraola values the midfielder highly and considers him essential to his plans.

2. Virgil Van Dijk 4. Sadio Mane 5. Mo Salah 7. Alisson 17. Roberto Firmino 19. Trent Alexander-Arnold 26. Gini Wijnaldum A throwback to 2019, when Liverpool had SEVEN players nominated for the Ballon D’Or. What a team we had back then.

Last time we faced Chelsea in the League Cup, Klopp’s Kids beat Chelsea’s £1bn bottle jobs in the League Cup Final. Will never get over how good that felt.

Sevilla will beat Osasuna. 💰

MATCH DAY! A big opportunity to continue the hunt for silverware today as we take on @ChelseaFC in the League Cup. Come on, Reds 👊

Recovery time 🧘‍♂️

Xabi Alonso on Wirtz: “I can only speak about my time with Flo in Bayer Leverkusen and for sure one of the main reasons for me being here is the time that I spent with him in Leverkusen. "He was a special player, he helped me so much, I learned so much from him and now that he's in Liverpool I'm following him and we know that the next step is always an interesting one and he's getting there."

All smiles 😁

That’s not the prep that Arsenal will have wanted before heading to Anfield on Sunday.

Van Dijk on Liverpool moving forwards without Mo Salah: “What Mo has done for so many years as a winger, I don’t think anyone can replicate that. What he did was incredible. The same goes with Sadio and Bobby. “Hopefully that is going to happen again and that is what we work for, but now it is time for others, and others have to step up.”

FLEETWOODDDDDDD 👏 👏 👏 What it’s all about.

Wirtz: “I genuinely couldn’t care less what anyone has to say about me, so anyone is welcome to talk about me. “I just play football because I enjoy it and, of course, I want to be successful.”

🥇 | @LewisSteele_ for @AnfieldIndex: “I can’t see Liverpool moving for Trent although stranger things have happened. It would probably be a loan they’d want if anything and I can’t see them agreeing to that. He’s on a huge wage too and there’s been injuries.”

Wirtz on the noise around his displays: "Maybe I'm just an interesting guy! I just play my football. If people want to talk about me or judge me, that's their job. I'm not focusing on that. I just want to play football and I can't do more [than that].”

🥇 | @LewisSteele_ for @AnfieldIndex: Liverpool will try and get Ronald Araujo’s price down with Barcelona, but they should be trying to make the loan permanent. The defender is a joy to watch, loved by the fans and makes a real difference, as well as giving centre back cover.

Trey Nyoni should start against Arsenal.

Sassuolo Calcio to get the 3 points against Lazio Rome. 👀

RT @LFCLaurie: We simply have to activate that buy option. People mention his age but he’s only 27 and he gives absolutely everything every game. We’re not finding a better RB for £46m in this current market.

Trey Nyoni on Araujo: “Yeah, I think Ronald has kind of inspired everyone to fight. Coming from where he was, he was a captain, so that in itself already shows how much of a leader he is. “And I think even though obviously at the minute he doesn’t speak much English, on the pitch you can see that he’s willing to fight and willing to give everything. When you see a player like that, I think it helps everyone else understand what it means to even just play here.”

Liverpool fans after that Araujo performance

Iraola on Araujo: “We all enjoy Ronald fighting, winning the duels, even the physical, he wins two duels in a row… defensively he’s been really good and I’m happy for him because I’ve taken him out of the game last two games because we needed more offensive things at half time. He has continued working with no issues. Today we needed him more and he gave us a good 90 minutes.”

Iraola on Isak: “He’s a striker that if we can put him in those positions, we can provide him good crosses, good situations he will score the goal no? In this case, Bradley [Barcola] winning the duel, going 1v1, being faster than the opposition and finding good spots.”
