Ranked BR Matchmaking Update We have rolled out an update to Ranked BR matchmaking earlier today focused on lowering match ping and reducing cross-region games. - We lowered the maximum latency threshold to prioritize cleaner connections and better hit registration. - To keep matches firing under this tighter ping limit, Asia and South America servers will now match across a wider range of skill ranks. All other servers will maintain their current skill-matching rules. With stricter ping requirements, you may experience slightly longer queue times while the game looks for lower-latency lobbies. We will be actively monitoring wait times and match quality. Jump into Ranked BR and let us know how your connections and queue times feel.

[BFComms] Season 5 Siege of Vegas Known Issues and Status Roundup - October 16 Today, we wanted to follow up on our recent update before we kick off the weekend. Here's what we're currently investigating and tracking across the most recent update. - Progression and XP Earn Rates: Following the launch of Season 5, an unintended backend configuration issue throttled earn rates across core modes and weapon mastery progression. We have since reverted these settings on October 15, and have confirmed that earn rates have returned to normal. - White Screen in Campaign: We have deployed a fix resolving an issue that prevented PlayStation 5 Pro players from progressing beyond the opening cutscene in the Battlefield 6 Campaign. You can now jump into the mission as intended. - Drag and Revive: We are seeing reports where the revive prompt fails to appear or activate over downed squadmates in Battle Royale modes. Our team is actively investigating the root cause of this issue. - Vehicle Health Regeneration: We are looking into reports that passive vehicle health regeneration is taking longer than the intended amount after disengaging from combat. Our team is reviewing this issue. - Phantom Edition GOTY Skin: Players who own the Phantom Edition were intended to receive the new Legendary soldier skin from the Game of the Year (GOTY) Edition without purchasing an upgrade. We have rolled out an in-game inbox message that will automatically grant this skin directly to qualifying accounts. The team is actively pushing forward on these fixes as well as the updates we mentioned earlier this week. Cosmetic Quality & Recent Feedback Over the past week, we’ve seen conversation, memes, and candid feedback around a few of our latest skins and cosmetic items—specifically the standard issue McNeil skin with “SECUTY” typo. You called it out clearly, and we hear your concerns. First, let's dive into the "Secuty" typo patches on the McNeil character. A correction update has already been planned for the Season 5 Phase 2 release. However, we recognize that letting a known visual error go live without quick acknowledgement creates confusion and erodes trust. We are reviewing how we communicate known visual bugs so you aren’t left wondering whether something was intentional or overlooked. To be completely frank: Items that miss the mark like this do not reflect the quality standards you expect from us, or that we set for ourselves. We take pride in the craft of our world and our gear, and seeing visual oddities slip through is frustrating for everyone. We are currently examining our internal processes and workflows to pinpoint how these issues occurred and to see how we can tighten our quality control process going forward. Thank you for holding us to high standards. We also want to acknowledge the conversation around the Midnight Mirage skin design with 5-Pistols. This is an intentional creative concept—a nod to over-the-top action movie tropes where an operative inexplicably has another backup weapon strapped to every spare inch of gear. That said, we understand how this could look unintentional when released alongside other cosmetic anomalies. [BFComms] Progression & XP Update Following the launch of Season 5, backend configuration changes resulted in an unintended issue affecting XP earn rates across modes and hardware progression (such as weapons). These backend changes have now been reverted, and our team is actively monitoring telemetry to ensure earn rates return to intended levels across all experiences. [BFComms] Audio Hotfix We have deployed a hotfix to resolve an issue that could cause audio to cut out until the game is restarted.

[BFComms] Airstrikes Disabled in Rapid Royale We are aware of Airstrikes in Rapid Royale not functioning properly and have temporarily disabled them. We'll provide an update once they are re-enabled.

Small modes playlist re-enabled; TDM required players adjusted We just rolled out backend changes to bring the small modes (KOTH/TDM) playlist back online. Additionally, we corrected the required players needed to start TDM on Vegas Strip: Castle Road. We appreciate your patience.

Underslung Mount Underbarrel disabled We have temporarily disabled the Underslung Mount Underbarrel on the Mk24 Assault Rifle while we resolve an unintended interaction. We'll provide an update once the attachment is re-enabled.
